I can’t believe I’ve never visited this garden centre before, even though friends had told me how good it is, and they’re absolutely right. A fantastic well stocked collection of all sorts of plants and shrubs, at reasonable garden centre prices too. The coffee shop was good too. Will definitely visit again. All the staff we’re very pleasant too.

Hollybeck Nurseries offer good quality plants etc at reasonable prices. For the plant side I give five stars.
We decided to try the Topiary Tea Room as the arrangements looked well thought through and safe.
We ordered a full English breakfast each. One normal and mine vegetarian. Be aware that the full English is very large ideal for those people with big appetites.
Our breakfast arrived and we immediately noticed that the underside of the toast was burnt. I like well done food however burnt toast is not good. The toast had been put burnt side down on the plate. Eggs very jelly like on top. Beans very little taste. My partner loves sausages however these were so spicy he was unable to eat them.
I know we are all different with different tastes however we regularly eat out enjoying breakfasts at a number of local establishments and feel happy with all of their produce.
I did inform one of the staff of our disappointment and the response appeared to be a shrug. I’m sure a drink and cake etc. is good however saddened will not return for cooked food.

Lovely healthy plants - huge choice and reasonable prices. Nice selection of gifts. The restaurant taking Covid regulations so seriously. The process explained beforehand and reaffirmed on the menu. Polite and helpful staff. Nice vegan cake and choice of two non dairy milks. Would highly recommend this dog friendly nursery

Had lunch at the Cafe on a Sunday. Food was delicious, came out promptly, had the ham and mushroom omelette. Great selection of cakes, Mars tiffin was very very nice. Very impressed with covid safety measures in place and felt very comfortable and relaxed eating out here. Staff very efficient and friendly, tables were cleared and sanitised quickly upon people leaving. Overall very much recommend, even my dear father was impressed and that's saying something

Visited many times before and have no complaints of the place, Travelled there this morning and everywhere shut up no signs as to why but I assume it was due to the coronation? I checked the web site and nothing there to suggest it was going to be closed etc (waste of time having a web site if you’re not going to use it ?) Disappointed of the lack of interest in your customers ?

Dear Selston, thank you visiting us. Unfortunately we took the decision to close the Topiary Tearoom on the Coronation Day., The rest of the site was FULLY OPEN. Not sure how you missed the fact the garden centre was open, quite contrary to your review.
If your visit was to the Topiary Tearoom, and if you checked the website you would be fully aware that it opens at 9:30am every day, you arrived just after 9am and spoke to the General Manager who would of been totally professional and been exceptionally nice to you.
The Google listing was correct in terms of opening hours for the Topiary Tearooms. The whole management team was aware of your visit within 2 minutes of your discussion and immediately checked all the relavant opening times were correct on the website and on Google. I don't really know what more we could of done, not knowing you was going to arrive before the Topiary regularly opens.
I did have a look through your review history which clearly shows that the majority displease you?
Nevertheless we thank you for you review and hope that in future you spend the time to leave a few good reviews for establishments that do pass muster with your standards.

Visited the cafe on Tuesday. It was very busy inside and seems to be very popular. I had a fruit scone which was lovely. Both myself and my husband had coffee. I have decaf and I believe I could only have an Americano as decaf. My husband had a latte. We both said the coffees were just ok. Quite expensive for just a press a button coffee which the machine was. No fresh grind etc.
Garden centre lovely, with such a large array of plants.

Well stocked nursery but very disappointed with the cafe. It was busy so is clearly popular. However my meal was very poor value for money. It was tasty but a very small portion of broccoli and cauliflower as a bake. Compared to other meals there it was a poor show

garden centre is lovely. cafe there is usually very good with a varied menu and friendly staff. however, today, they only had one flavour of quiche which was cheese, tomato and chutney. it was very disappointing as it was quite wet. not cheesy and the flavours did not blend with the chutney. we did report it to a member of staff but we did eat the meal as we were hungry and are always up for trying new things. (big mistake in this case)

This was our first visit since reopening after the Covid shutdown. A member of staff welcomed us at the door and explained the new procedures. This was most helpful as we then felt at ease.
We had a pot of tea, I had Victoria sponge which was absolutely superb, and my husband had cherry & almond sponge which he said was very nice too. We will most definitely be back, on our next visit we hope to try lunch.

After being a loyal customer for many years, with family, friends and I spending thousands of pounds. A dispute over £12.99, Hollybeck Nursery evoked my privilege card and cancelled, refunded all future booked talks and events. This is how they treat customers when things go wrong. Everyone is welcome to visit this Nursery but I wanted you to be aware.

The customer in question purchased an online voucher from this outside company for an event. As no money for this passed to us we were are totally unable to provide a refund. As soon as we were aware of the potential issue, out of good will we took the time to bring this to their attention so they could seek a refund. The customer in question has been asked not to frequent our business in the future as a result of numerous upsetting altercations with staff members.
As a business Hollybeck Nurseries welcome all constructive comments and criticisms. We know we don't always get it right but we all work hard as team to meet our customers very varied needs. On this occasion however, the fault was with an online voucher company.
We hope our previous positive reviews speak for the quality of our business and service we provide.

Sorry, do not know exact amount ~ my wife and I eat there nearly every week and certainly notice several people having afternoon tea from lunchtime onwards. Wonderful cakes and sandwiches and super staff.
