This reconstruction of a stone age village is fun and educational for the entire family. We learned how to make fire with rocks, cook bread on an open fire, shoot a bow and arrow, and ride a canoe carved from a tree trunk. It was a big hit with both children who were determined to hit a plastic bunny with their wooden arrows. The museum does a great of explaining how life in the Alps was 5,000 years ago and there are plenty of hands on activities that make learning interesting.…

Spent the day here alpine hiking and glacier viewing. Ate a great meal of bacon eggs and speck at the rifugio. I am an avid alpine hiker and the area is challenging and beautiful.
