About
The site of Pietra Caduta, is one of the most interesting cases of humanized attendance of Canosa. The area of over 3.000 square meters, is characterized by densely tombs one-called "grotticella" of the fifth and forth centuries BC. The tombs, all with openings to the east, are drawn axially in a large mass of hard limestone, proceded by at least two roads funeral.

la necropoli è formata da ben 29 tombe principalmente a grotticela e due a a fossa, dotate di dromos di accesso a camera funeraria alcune semplici, altre doppie bicamerali

Bellissima visita tra le grotte preistoriche meno valorizzate della nostra Puglia.
Il valore sta venendo fuori con il lavoro della gestione OMNI Arte di Canosa di Puglia con a capo Sandro Sardella (archeologo), Michela Cianti e Valentina Pelagio.
Per me un ottimo lavoro, valorizzato anche dalle erbe di pietra caduta, i paesaggi e la diffusione delle grotte in modo concentrato e visitabili, dentro le quali si respira l’epoca preistorica.
