History comes to life at Mont Orgueil Castle, which for over 600 years protected Jersey against French invasion. Explore the network of staircases, towers and secret rooms to discover hidden treasures.

Every time you visit you'll discover a staircase you've not seen before opening up into a room where you'll find something new. Discover Hidden artwork commissioned to tell the story of the castle; Climb the turrets to find the medieval ‘wheel', and descend into the cellar to experience the exhibit. Life-size wooden soldiers guard the castle from attack and 'the wounded man' statue shows the fate that could befall those fighting to save the castle from invasion.

How could we not have a splendid visit with the Castle's guide Harry to inform and amuse us. Thank you so much Harry.

What an extraordinary place, you have to wonder how they built it. the amount of natural resources and manpower must have been enormous. Mind you no tv in those days. The view from the top is awesome

The castle puts the cherry on the cake for the area, dominating the harbour and it's buildings. Superb views, grounds and rooms. A must visit if staying in Jersey.

This was the first place we visited on our trip to Jersey. You have to climb up quite a few steps to get to it, so if you have difficulty climbing stairs this may not be for you. The castle looks impressive from below though. I cannot really describe castles because a lot of them are always a steady walk... More

There is so much to see here and not just the castle buildings and grounds, but the amazing view from the top across the bay, northwards across countryside or directly below to the picturesque village of Gorey. The castle's main buildings are on 4 floors and the information plaques are interesting and informative, and place the castle in its historical... More

Worth a visit. Be prepared to walk and explore though. Friendly staff and informative exhibits. We visited on a overcast day so missed out on the views, but these would have been good on a clear sunny day.

We had a wonderful guided tour around the castle by a well informed, humourous volunteer tour guide made all the better by glorious weather, great place for children and adults alike to find out about the history of this lovely island,

£2 to get here on the bus. £12.15 to get in and well worth the money. Be prepared for some very steep and narrow steps if you are going to explore the castle fully. We did not buy a guide but with hindsight that would have been a good move as you can easily find yourself back in the same... More

There are a lot of stairs to climb to get that great view, but when you get to the top it is worth it. Thanks for your review. More
