Seeing is believing! There are so many passageways and hidden rooms in this castle it is an amazing place. A visit to Jersey is not complete without a visit here.

We had a lovely stroll/hike around the castle. Lots of steps so not for the faint hearted lol. Just a shame there wasn't more information in each room and outside to tell you what the rooms and areas would have been used for. We felt...More

We decided to leave St. Helier and explore the island by car. Driving up the west coast, we came across Orgueil Castle and the lovely seaside village of Gorey. We really had fun exploring the various rooms - it is one of the more intricate...More

A castle on the eastern shore of Jersey that overlooks the harbour of Gorey. It is also called Gorey Castle. Be prepared to do a lot of walking and climbing steps, but I can assure you it is worth it. Do not miss the urine...More

This is a magnificent Castle. You will be climbing up steps to the towers though, but be prepared for magnificent views. Dungeons and crypts, nooks and crannies. Little green lizards. Great hologram of the Queen. Kings and Queens tree sculpture. Spend at least two hours,...More

This is a remarkable castle. Most of the structure seems to have been preserved, and there were only a few parts that were 'ruined'. The views from the top are amazing, with a great view of France, Les Ecrehous and Gorey village / Royal Bay...More

There are many steps leading up to this castle dominating the Bay. Be aware of this if you have problems climbing. I found £12.20 rather expensive for this visit and although the views from the castle were indeed stunning, the castle being built on different...More

I visited the castle which is quite expensive. The location is superb for its defensive position overlooking the bay and out to sea.

Had a nice couple hours wandering the castle. Elizabeth Castle had a little museum and more directly on the water which made it nice. Most Orgueil had more to the castle to explore. We got lost several times and thought it would be nice if...More

Mount Orguel is definitely best as there are many rooms to explore and the views are great.Quite a few staircases so not so assessable for those with walking difficulties. The village of Gorey is worth exploring.
Hello, how long, on average, would we need to give to go around the castle? Many Thanks
