To see the flamingos in flight, you must go early (sunrise) or late (sunset) otherwise it's just a long ride on a big river, with an alligator or two and a few resident flamingos. You are given some exotic mud to make you beautiful.

Rolled in late and happened past a tackle shop while walking around. When I asked the guy behind the counter if he know of anyone that specialized in fly fishing, he said yes and promptly left on his motorcycle. a few minutes later Diego showed up and a half hour later we were booked to fish with Poco the next... We went on the flamingo boat tour with our family and loved it. We spent a relaxing day looking at flamingos, crocodiles and many different birds. We even went to the pink lakes and covered ourselves in rejuvenating mud! The boat captain was excellent, he took us to a paradise beach for a swim on the way back. Loved the... More

We had a three hour boat trip with Diego, This trip was exceptionally good ! We have not only seen the flamingo colony, but a lot of other birds and animals. Diego had made an extra effort to show us a Limulus, or deep into the mangroves a hidden type of night herons. If you love nature that tour is... More

No matter what you want to see/do in the area, Diego and family will personalize the tour for you. That is what made this an awesome tour and adventure. Flamingos, pink water, fishing, sightseeing along the water or the salt mines...all is available. We spent 2 days touring and loving every minute of it. A great time. Made us feel... More

I went to Rio Largartos to see the Flamingoes. But there were a lot of other things to see. The scenery was beautiful and we even saw a crocodile. The experience was great. It was a dream come true for me and I would love to go back and do it again. From the time we spoke with Diego to... More

Four of us contacted Diego Nunez and asked him to move out of his usual comfort zone of half-day trips around Rio Lagartos, and to set up a longer birding tour that would give us a chance to see most of the endemic and many other bird species in the Yucatan. Working from a Yucatan bird list that he sent... More

In a nutshell: the birding was very good, the accommodation was a disaster. We were a party of four: me and my wife, and our daughter and her one year old baby.I had booked birding for me and my wife at the start of a three week visit to Mexico in late February. Our daughter, who lives in Mexico for... More

We booked a four hour bird watching trip by boat and started at 07.00 hours. With the sun already up this is a great time to see the flamingos. We had the boat to ourselves and our young guide/boatman was excellent, taking us to all sorts of places around the lagoon. His knowledge of birds and ability to spot them... More
