Went here as part of a trip around the southern parts of the island. The guide was nice and knew what she was talking about, but there were so many groups of tourists crammed together that the part where she talked about the process of making rum fell short. The rum tasting at the end was great though! Around 10... More

Interesting to find out a little about rum production, tour lasts no longer than an hour, followed by rum tasting and then delicious lunch. If you have lunch, you do not get charged the entrance fee. Desert of Rum Baba was definitely a highlight. You can also visit the curious corner museum which is very close by and the 7... More

Nice rhumerie with a pleasant and very well organised tour through the installation. A tasting of the common rhums is included in the tour, but be sure not to drive afterwards :-)

The area is beautiful. The entry price is 370 rupees per person. Guided tour through the rhumerie is so so. Though the price includes rum testing, it's very high. You can buy their products from the attached shop. We didn't try lunch at the restaurant.

I went for lunch here. The food was great as were the deliciously smooth rhums! The rhumerie is set in a beautiful and scenic location. It was worth the long and very windy drive from the city. This place is a must do if you visit Mauritius!

The distillery is located in a beautiful tropical setting near the charming village of Chamarel. Tourguide Josie gave fun and educating insights into the process of making rum, before the main highlight of tasting 9 varieties of rum! Definitely worth the visit when in the area.

We went for the Rhumerie because we wanted to ret their rhum (we have already been to the other big Rhumeries at Mauritius). It is a very nice place with flowers and everything. The guides knows the Rhumeries 8 year old story very well and they know all about the production. But for me, it looks more like a turist... More
