Expected a ruined tower. That is so, but in very good condition. Spent an hour looking inside and out. Well worth the visit.

We were staying not far from this attraction and was interested to find out more it is dog friendly (keep on lead) and a very interesting attraction with walks through the grounds, the clock tower is an experience with outstanding views, honesty box in operation.

Very small but of interest - not sure if its worth going too far out of your way to visit. Lovely but small garden grounds with rhododendrons which we saw in full bloom

This is a privately owned attraction and is cheap to visit at £2 and an honesty box. The tower is interesting complete with a clock that copies the mechanism of the Palace of Westminster one known as Big Ben. Apart from the tower, that you...More

The weather had been awful and then the rain went off and we took the chance to climb the tower. Well worth it as interesting and good view from the top.

So happy we decided to visit here! What a gem and gave a real insight into its previous use and purpose. Beautiful grounds, trees and spectacular views from top of the tower!

This is another of those sites that we stumbled across due to a diversion off the A1 at Chathill, we were on our way to sea houses and came across this beauty, it is a small and compact site with an honesty box for admission....More

Like Edlingham Castle, probably not somewhere you'd visit in its own right or expect to spend a full day there but it was somewhere I wanted to "chalk off" having been to Northumberland many times. Loved the "honesty box" and the fact you basically park...More

Not big but worth a visit. Beautiful grounds, a cared for peel tower full on information about it's past. A clock that replicates Big Ben's workings and fantastic views from the top. A £2 honesty box entry fee is not much to ask for this...More

This lovingly presented piece of history is a real gem. It's not big so it does not take long, but a walk in the grounds and a picnic on the right sort of day could make a half day visit. If you think £2 is...More
