Small, lovely and quiet mueseum w many cats exhibts. We found this museum after our walk along Kawaguchi lake.

Beautiful small museum and we had the museum to ourselves. There is a cafe inside the museum for a quiet afternoon tea.

The outside of the museum is evenly beautiful w many flowers and display.

We had no idea what this was but I love cats so we went in! Apparently Dayan is a cat from a popular children's book series in Japan, and the museum and shop showcased artwork, models and such from the series. Nothing in English but we managed to figure out a lot because of the beautiful illustrations; Dayan and his friends (cats, a crocodile, etc) live in a place called Wachifield and the stories reminded me of Beatrix Potter. If you like cats, artwork or books then I'd recommend the museum but sadly there is no photography allowed. The cafe looked delicious but we didn't visit as had just eaten, but I bought a few cute things from the gift shop despite having no idea who Dayan even was! I'm glad I went

The museum attracted many local children because the displays were on the models and artworks related to a popular book series here. No English version/translation nor photos allowed inside the venue. After the tour therein, you could have a cup of coffee at the cafe or buy some souvenirs at the gift shop.
