Explore Mt. Fuji Ice Cave in Aokigahara Forest

73 reviews
Adventurous travelers will love the chance to visit an unusual ice cave at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Located deep within Aokigahara Forest--sometimes referred to as the Suicide Forest--the cave can only be visited with a knowledgeable guide. Unlike some other caves, there are no boardwalks or handrails here, so you will experience the natural, untouched world of the cave full of ice formations.

The month long event in Yagisaki and Oishi parks ran from June 15 until July 16. The parks are covered with lavender and one can get a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji. Booths selling lavender ice cream and herb soap were also opened for business. On July 7, fire works were held to celebrate the start of the Mt Fuji climbing session. Lots of people attended this festival, especially on the night of July 7. We hope to be here again next year
