Pantai Pongkar Quiet Lovely Beach

Came here after the waterfall, it is a nice long stretch of beach.

Quiet and very local, there is not much to do except to swim or sun tan.

Perhaps it was a weekday that we visited, thus we do not see any vendor hawking food and drinks.

If you look far enough, you can see Singapore in the distance.

Overall not a bad experience

Visit Pantai Pongkar and was amazed to find such a quiet beach where I could sit down and relax. But my driver told me not to visit during Public Holidays as the beach will be filled with people.

Normal beach with good view

It's a normal beach with a nice view. The water is with a nice temperature. What I didn't liked is that the beach has sludge. Without sludge it would be a real nice beach. Around you can find fruit and noodles to eat. In sum it's good if you want to refresh yourself.

This is recommended as one of the MUST see spots in Karimun Island. The water seems Good, but the beach lacks the BEAUTIFUL White sands as in Pelawan Beach. The view is acceptable, BUT No WOWs !! From the set up, it seems less activities here. Visit it JUST for the exposure !!

Quiet, deserted, local beach at Karimun

You need to adjust your expectations - this is a _local_ beach for _local_, so don't expect any tourist infrastructure.Also, you should not be surprised if find the beach deserted.

What is good that beach is clean - no visible trash, except occasional empty plastic bottle. The beach is located to opposite side of the biggest and well known other beach Pantai Palawan. However, contrary to Palawan, temperature is cooler, even in the middle of the day and there is constant breeze.

Water is very murky and not clean - you do not want to go inside. Also, better to bring your own food and water - you should not expect to get something on place.

This beach connects to another beach - Pantai Ketam which is quite similar but has at least several desks/cheers to sit down.
