A nice place for families with children

The "Alpen Wildpark" in Feld am See is nicely laid out and offers nice walking paths, where you surely will encounter animals, like deer. Moreover, at the entrance, indoor entertainment is offered. A petting zoo is also a part of the park. In my opinion the "Alpen Wildpark" is very suitable for families with children, but for me the entertainment had run its course after making the long round in the park. Fine nature in some spots, relaxed deer, but not much else. But for families with children is much more to do. Entrance for a fee, free entrance with the Kaernten Card. Free parking.

Great few hours

This was somewhere near to our hotel and we popped along one morning. It was a good few hours. There was a variety of animals and they were all easy to see. The museum area also has a good variety but of course they are not real animals. If you have the Kartnen card the you can get in free and it is definitely worth stopping by.

How to spend a decent afternoon

To get in touch with lost times when one could get the milk from the cow or the deer was not only on Bambi cartoon visit this wild park.lots of wild animals and a plentiful lunch if you want (ask for the all inclusive platter). All managed by a family that takes care of everything. Authentic and not a big company endeavour that needs to be promoted. Well done!

We thought the range of animals would be well beyond that you find on a common farm. Sure some animals were not common but for the price of 10 euros we left dissatisfied. In Poing Bavaria you have a better range, experience for half the price and don't have to pay for the kids rides.

An amazing experience

I was stunned by this unassuming looking place but when I went in I was amazed. The museum is extraordinary. The amount of time and effort which must have gone into collating the exhibits and in such an interesting and informative way must have been enormous.

Basically there were life size replicas of animals and birds from many different parts of the world and ranged in a way that you could see clearly what was what. There were also booklets with descriptions and so forth. Unfortunately these were only in German so if you did not read German you would be the worse off.

Outside there were live animals too - some you could even go in with. I found the whole thing fascinating.

If you are stayingh at a hotel you will probably get the Kärnten card which will give you free admission to this attraction and another 100 or so in Carinthia. An amazing value tourist benefit which cannot be overstated. If you do not get one free, go and buy it; you will recover your money in just a few visits.

Wonderful for children and adults alike and I guess you could easily spend half a day there and still have more to see if you really want to get stuck in.

Experience in nature and among animals

There are several species of typical mountain animals and others less . You have the opportunity to interact with them , always being careful . There is a whole path to do , and then get in a very nice play area . Inside the buildings there are other attractions , always very curious . I recommend it to all families with children .

If you are looking for an outdoor activity with your family - that is the place!! Besides all the wild animals you also have an interesting museum and a large playground for the kids! And you will have a hard time to get the kids away from this place!

Nice to see the local wildlife in a park which is easy to find your way around. Plenty of seats to sit and observe. Giood variety of different animals.

Excellent place for all kids

Very good place when the mountains weather is not safe for big trips. Variety of local wild forest animals and attractive in house exhibition with stuffed animals from paleoarctic and africa areas. Fun!
