The zoo was very nice but I couldn’t enjoy it because I constantly was stressing to protect myself and my baby from smokers. I’m shocked how many smokers are inconsiderate of young children’s life!!! Zoo should not only be a safe place for animals but for children too. As a mom with a baby, I would like to express my opinion on the issue of banning smoking at the zoo. It is my firm belief that passing a law such as this one would be beneficial for all. To begin with, prohibiting smoking at the zoo would mean that everyone’s health would be protected. It is well known that smoking causes cancer and even though smokers state that it is their right to do what they want to themselves, they are being inconsiderate towards others, specially many children. They must realize that through passive smoking, everyone around them is at risk and that they are the ones who are putting them at risk. All things considered, although many citizens will undoubtedly see this ban as a threat to their rights, the administration needs to look after the welfare of its citizens. Health counts above all else in life, therefore protecting people’s health should be a priority.

Regrettably the guy on the gate's machine couldn't read from my phone screen in the bright sunlight so he had to painfully type in a hugely long number. But the experience that followed was so good I can't complain

A very beautiful zoo, comparable to Pairi Daiza in Belgium. Lots of animals and worth it. However, during the Covid-19 period (summer 2020) far too many visitors were admitted in our opinion. A mouth mask is not mandatory in the open air, but there are too many people so you better wear your mouth mask. Not everyone wore them, we did, but we felt uncomfortable. Since we had paid quite a lot for our visit (68 euros), we also did not want to leave the zoo, we rushed through it, wanted to go outside as soon as possible and felt rushed and uncomfortable. We regretted our visit and the money paid for it due to the overcrowd.

The zoo is fantastic and my children loved seeing the pandas and the bears. It is a large zoo and the animals look well cared for. We visited in August on a hot day and oh my goodness was it absolutely heaving with tourists! We pre booked tickets on the understanding that they were limiting entries due to covid-19 but there was no way they were limiting the number of visitors! I will upload a photo to evidence this. I am talking sardines in a tin RAMMED. We headed for the sea lion show 40 minutes before it was due to start and we unfortunately hit a wall of about 70 people in front of us at the entrance and could see that the stadium itself was already rammed...at this point, we decided to give up and headed home which is a shame as my children were really excited to see the show. It is a great zoo and a good day out but was quite stressful in the crowds and the heat.

There was an incredible array of animals that were very well looked after. The bird show is not to be missed! The zoo was well-maintained.
