Sitla Devi Temple is located near Kathgodam railway station on the main road of Haldwani-Nainital road, its on the top of mountain, The temple is dedicated to goddess Durga and major festival is held on the month of Sept.-Oct during Navratri when lots of devotees visit this temple for worship and offer Sweets, Coconuts & Chunni to the deity mother Durga. The main priest surname Pandey are the only recognized to serve here, there is also big garden area for local people to enjoy picnic here, this place is very neat and clean for the visitors. There is no entry fee to visit here, but one has to climb at least 500 Ft"

peaceful Ancient ruins

though there are some new structures created by people but you can still find some ancient stone carvings. Less crowded at sunrise.

Ancient Temple on Hill
Apr 2018 • Family
This temple is of Shitla Devi on a small hill which is connected very well. Try to go there in evening to catch the glimpse of sun. Beware of Monkey and try to carry water bottles.
