This is a Mughal era walled garden that is also used as a burial complex for the Mughal imperial family. The complex stands as a well preserved witness to the grand design of Mughal Indo-Islamic architecture when the Mughal Empire was at its height. Although it looks closer to the Indo-islamic architecture of the Delhi Sultanates with the large chhatris that surmount tombs of Nithar, Khusrau and Shah Begum. The best of the tombs is that of Nithar, a Mughal princess and daughter of Jahangir. The best of the tombs belongs to the princess, which ironically does not contain her tomb. The vaulted ceiling of her tomb is simply magnificent with a ribbed design reminiscent of the best star vaults of Gothic architecture.

The monuments are good, beautiful and they are worth the visit, although there are no entry fees because of which there are a huge amount of people over here. The gardens are also great and they felt great that too in the summer and I'm told that the best time to visit here is during the early hours in the winters. (November-January)

Monuments are beautiful. But very ill-maintained place. If your trip is short, I would say Khusro Bagh is missable.

Khusro Bagh is a large walled garden and burial complex located close to the Allahabad Junction railway station, in Prayagraj (formerly known as Allahabad), India. It is spread over forty acres and shaped as a quadrangle. It is famous for the three tombs of Jahengir's family i.e. tomb of Shah Begum (born Manbhawati Bai) Jahangir's Rajput wife; Khusro Mirza, Jahangir's eldest son and briefly heir apparent to the Mughal throne; and Princess Sultan Nithar Begum, Khusro Mirza's sister and Jahangir's daughter. There is another tomb of Bibi Tamolan. The artistic beauty of the place leaves the visitors awestruck with the Moghal architcture. The beautiful arches, domes and chhatris are worth the time and admiration.
The bagh also has well maintained gardens having trees of mango, guava, ornage and many more. We noticed that local public also uses this for morning walk and a place to get fresh air since it is very nice atmosphere here in the morning. It is open from 6.00 am to 7.00 pm and free for entry.
