It is the Bay of Bengal. The beach is always crowded and lot of leisure activities always going on the sand and surf here. There are plenty of shacks which serve variety of snacks and ice, ice cream and good food. You can spend hours simply here watching all these activities or make fun or have some great shopping.

Way to reach beach is surrounded by shops. Entire way to reach is sandy with lot of plastic bags. & about 500 odd people bathe there with no facilities to change clothes makes it difficult to enjoy beach. Hoardes of hawkers & baggers make situatiom worse. Go if u are deadly beach lovers

Very small beach. There is not much space in the beach and it's very crowded in the evenings. Beach is not clean and hygeine. Many fast food centres are there near to beach , which serves average food and fish at a moderate price.

Visited on 27/10/2015. It was raining lightly on the day. The place around the beach can be considered as dirty and not up to the expectations. Water is also not clear like the beaches on the west coast of India

Very dirty, especially the road leading to the beach from the church was very dirty. There were a lot of flies. At the beach there was a fish joint, serving good authentic local sea food. Raw fish was on display and after we had placed out order, we were served some other spoilt fish altogether. Three people from our family... More

The church is the main attraction. Then one may visit the shops and beach. End of the shop area, there are few restaurants. Please do not opt eating in these restaurants, since it wont be hygienic (for eg., the plates wont be properly washed). Next is beach which is not so clean. You can enjoy just walking into the beach... More

The whole beach side is taken over by the roadside shops. There is no space at all to enjoy the beach. The shops starts from the point where water doesn't enter. They could have managed it better.

Nice shallow beach, good for kids and novice swimmers, heavy rush during weekend days and special days, a lot of local food varieties, handcrafts, toys available across the path to the beach. One may find it difficult due to the smell of fish grills which is all over the beach. Just keep in mind, everything is a business there, so... More

After visiting the church, we visited the shops and beach. End of the shop area, there are few restaurants, will get fresh fish and parathas to eat. Next is beach which is not so clean. No other option, but you have to see this beach. The beach shore is surrounded by many shops and restaurants. You can enjoy just walking into... More
