This is very old temple. This is one of 108 vaishnavite divya desam. It is also the birth palce of Bhootattalwar. Here LORD is in reclined position. His hands calls upon his followers to come near to Him.

The pujaris here welcomed us and allowed us to take darshan which is unusual in Tamil Nadu when you are non Indian. The main Deity of Lord Vishnu reclining is lovely and I was delighted to visit Laxmi Narasimha,my favourite Vishnu avatar.

Temple is closed in the middle of this day from 12.00-3.00pm. Situated in the same area as most of the attractions here and is easy to find and to walk between each one. The temple is serene and well worth a visit.
