Sight seeing took almost whole day, we came back to hotel at evening. Bus stand is just close to the monuments. There are... More

This area of temples is something special. It is really worth hiring a guide who will explain the significance of each symbol, carving or temple. It is a beautiful, well preserved and delightfully clean.

The monument is protected and is of historical significance. Its a shame that the local authorities are unable to maintain it as much as it deserves. Avoid weekends and summer because of the crowd and the heat respectively.

The places of interest has been segregated by the type of structure. 1. Monolothic structure 2. Cave Temples 3. Structural Temple 4. Stone Carvings This is a excellent place for history lovers. The structures stand tall for the craftsmanship of the ancient people.

You could conclude the day trip at mahabalipuram which has many ancient monuments built by pallava kings over 1500 years ago.
