Not a worth place to go, just a normal fall(so called fall), sheer wastage of time and energy.
No amenities, not even a single water bottle you can buy

Definitely a scenic place. A rejuvanating place especially in summer where you can enjoy the water with right amount of flow. The flow may increase during monsoons. It requires a one 1km trek to reach the falls from parking. Beware of animal activities in evening hours. We were caught up with wild bisons (Indian gaurs) on the trek path on our way back to parking place .

The view from the top is nice but you can only see a small part of the falls.

If you want to go closer to the falls or want to take a bath, you have to trek down for 3kms through tea estate and bushes . The path is not clear is so steep and not suitable for elderly person.

And this place does not have any safety and security measures and also has wildlife animals such as bear and wild pigs. Not advisable for young children.

And only have people living around 2km away from the falls and few tea plantation workers who are around 1km away from the falls to call for help.

Anyways a great trip for people who love trekking.

The top view point is good. But if we wants to go to the falls, we need walk down though the tea estate which is not recommended for the family as place is not having any security measures. Also, thanks is not the tourist spot approved by government so the people need to go with own risk. Overall this is not worth for the long walk towards the falls.

This is a view point on the road toward Dolphin Nose and we had visited the same during our sightseeing in Coonoor. From this point one can get a birds eye view of the milky white water of Catharine Falls coming down the mountain. One needs a good zoom camera to get a good shot from here.

I was returning to this place after 20 years so it was special. You need to traverse some steep stretches and a tea estate so wear good shoes and comfortable clothing. The view is definitely worth it. Its a nice place to relax during weekends with a crowd. Not so popular during weekdays.

You have to walk through a tea estate to reach the Catherine Waterfalls view point. We went in February so that's why maybe the quantity of water was less.
There is no one to guide you to this place. Seems like it is still not a major tourist attraction. But this is a blessing. It's a pristine place as of now. The walk through the lush, green tea estate was serene. You can hear the waterfalls far before you approach the view point.
You need to have a local driver to converse with the local people to get the correct directions because Google maps failed to show the correct way.

Had gone to view this waterfall from the waterfall viewpoint. You get an amazing view of the valley full of dense lush green forests with cotton-like white clouds between the valleys. The waterfall looks really nice even from the distance and is quite a viewpoint for photographers and even nature lovers.

There are two things you can do.. One is straight away you can go to view point or you can do 30 mits trek in an uneven almost no path downstream walk and have a look on the flat view of the falls..

Though not big, its worth an experience if you take trekking route...
