We had taken our relatives who visited us for a day on Bhilai darshan. We took them to Jayanti Stadium. It was evening time. It was nice to see so many people there.
It is a good facility for kids, young and the old.
Do go there, do some physical activities and keep fit!

Winter is the best time for starting a fitness activity. In Bhilai, winter is pleasant. Lot of people come here in the morning for a morning walk. Besides, you can send your children for athletics and hockey. Coaching is free. You can practise on your own too without the help of a coach.

I visited Jayanti Stadium after a long time. I could not believe that it could be in such a condition. There was overgrowth all around. It is not being maintained most of the grass that have grown knee high have been trimmed though! I think it is being done now in preparation for the Republic day function. But, the track is not being maintained at all. I hope the people responsible for its maintenance will pay attention. It was 8.30 AM when I had gone to the stadium. All entrance doors were locked. Only the side steps at the front entrance was open.
One thing that is heartening was that there were lots of people. The place was live with young athletes practicing with vigour.
Some one has mentioned that Jayanti Stadium is for football and tennis. It is not. It is meant for hockey and Athletics. No doubt, International exhibition football and volleyball matches have been held here in the distant past. Some Ranji trophy matches have also been played here. But, now, well developed stadia for different games like football, cricket, tennis, volleyball, handball, badminton, table tennis, boxing, basketball, ball badminton, kho-kho, judo, netball, etc. are available in Bhilai and are well developed.
I wish and hope that Jayanti Stadium will be maintained well round the year!

It is a place located centrally in Bhilai. I recommend that every Bhilaian specially those who stay in Sector 5, Sector 6, Sector 7, Sector 10, Maroda, Risali and Ruabandha sectors and Civic Centre should go there daily in the morning and if not anything, just walk round the stadium, inside or outside it. A good place to keep yourself fit!

This stadium has been the heart of all activities considered physical in Bhilai for as long as the Bhilai Steel Plant itself. the best part about the place is its open field and facilities, which everyone wants to grow up in, as well want their future generations to enjoy.
But the dust hand pollution around the place makes it difficult to sustain long time enjoyment at the place. Also, as 90% of the place is open ground, it is not preferable to remain here for long after uncle Sun has climbed up in the sky.
Give this place a visit if you are in Bhilai. Enjoy watching people enjoying and playing sports, or indulge yourself in it as well.

what to say about this place,my whole childhood was spent here playing cricket.Stadium looks like a cricket stadium but it was actually made for hockey later it is used for 26 jan ceremony.Pared in 26 jan here is worth watching.Place is just in center of civic centre bhilai niwas and sector 10.Lots of cricket tournaments are organised here.

Mainly Jayanti Stadium is meant for Hockey and Athletics. The Republic Day function of Bhilai Steel Plant is also held here every year on 26th of January every year.
In winter, many people are seen in the stadium doing morning walk in addition to the sports lover you may find on all days.
Please go there for morning walk and keep yourself fit!

I visited the prestigious stadium in Bhilai located at its heart recently. There were lots of activities both inside and outside the stadium. A good number of children were practising there. But, the stadium needs to be maintained well. I hope people responsible for it will pay good attention!
