Hazur Saheb was recommended by a complete stranger in New Delhi and I am glad I went driving almost 650 Kms from Mumbai. There is a highway recently done (Samridhi Mahamarg) between Mumbai and Nagpur which i would say is par excellence. The stretch between Mumbai and Igatpuri is yet under construction but should not take more than 6 months. Anyway ... The Gurudwara is simply amazing and Beautiful and just being there is enough to forget life problems in the serene ambience. I stayed at NRI complex which is in not a great condition for INR 600 booked online was convenient but inadequate ... closer the the gate number 2 there is another Yatri Nivas which looked better so stay there and can also be booked online. Travelling by Train could be more convenient ...

Hazur Sahib, more called as Takht Sachkhand Shri Hazur Abchalnagar Sahib, is one of the five Takhts ("thrones" i.e. seats of temporal authority) in Sikhism. It is located in the banks of the River Godavari.

A Holy place for Sikhs and all believers, doors are open for everybody irrespective of caste and creed. It is said that Sikh must visit at least once in life before 60 year of age, if you pray here, all your wishes and dreams turn into reality.

The Takhat Sachkhand Sri Hazur Abchalnagar Sahib or Huzur Sahib is not just a holy place where thousands of devotees visit for pray, it is also very beautiful, Spectacular architecture temple; even if you aren't religious you must be to Hazur Sahib to experience the beauty of this place.

Reaching and check-in Experience :
We traveled by road from Raipur-Nagpur-Wardha-Yawatmal-Mahagaon-HadGaoan-Nanded 622KM. Good Road till Yawatmal, then Very bed Road till Nanded. Around Nanded city Road / even National Highway is in very bed condition, very difficult to drive smooth way. Even Nanded to Parli approx 112 KM was very bed.

We reached at 06:00 PM and checked-in the NRI Yatri Nivas, booked through On-Line.

Excellent accommodation facilities available to be booked on-line "URL : http://www.hazursahib.com/Pages/RoomBooking.aspx" at Hazur Sahib owned Yatri Nivas. AC and non AC Rooms are available. Try to take room in Sachkhand Bhagat or NRI Complex. Per day room charges are from Rs.400/- for AC and good for 2-4 Person, as very big / king size rooms with a big and neat bathroom. Bed sheets are soiled, better to carry your own.
One can also call the Yatri Nivas numbers provided on the URL as they do book through phone as well. We had stayed at NRI Yatri Nivas which is about 5 min. walk from Hazur Sahib Gurudwara.

Complex Visit :
Hazur Sahib Complex is the Samadhi of ninth Guru Shri Guru Gobind Singhji. The minute we enter the premise the air itself is so serene that all our worries vanish.

Inside the Gurudwara everything is so mesmerizing, tomb-walls-doors everything is of gold and marble. The main Gurudawara building (center of Hazur Sahib complex) is comprising a large room where Guru Granth Sahib is seated. The inner room called Angitha Sahib (place of cremation), walls are have been covered with golden plates. The dome is polished & on the pinnacle is the kalash made of gold plated copper. There is a historical well in front of Gurudwara, The water of this well was supplied to construct the Gurudwara.

The early morning 4 a.m Gurubani Path, Sabad Kirtan Start and Gurudawara is open for all devote till evening Aarti ends.

The evening Aarti start at 7:00PM following which Sasatras (weapons used by Guru Gobind Singh ji) are displayed to devotee. This is amazing experience which nobody should miss this. To have a good view of Aarti and Shashtra, you have to be present in Gurudwara by 6.30 pm

Free food (Langar Prasad) is served at the at Langar Sahib hall within the complex, on 24 hrs a day basis. People who serve food are also very cordial and make sure everybody is fed sufficiently. It is good to partake the food as a Langar Prasad. At Langar Hall, thousands of devotee can be accommodated to serve Langar Prasad.

Langar is also served free to devotees at Nanded railway station during Sachkhand express timing.

One can also enjoy yummy Parathas, at the tiny eateries, just out side of Complex Gate-1, serving hot, yummy and all kind of Parathas @20/- with loads of butter and pickles round the corner.

Don't miss the Light & Lazer show i.e. Light, Sound and Water (musical fountain) show at open air theater just back side of Hazur Sahib complex through Gate no 5, at "Guru Govind Singh Garden". This is free show open for all, starting at 08:00 PM everyday for one hour. This is an amazing experience about the history of 10 Gurus and connecting younger generation with glorious past.

As a out of mark of respect, you need cover your head by hanky or safa or patka, before entering the complex. All gates are having baskets with additional Patka, Safa, you can collect one and cover your head.

Other Attraction and Must Visit :
Keep Full day schedule with night stay. As One also need to visit 16 Nos. other Local Gurudwaras close by. Few main Gurudawara are Nagina Ghat, Banda Ghat, Sangat Sahib, Baoli Sahib, Mal Tekdi, Shikar Ghat, Heera Ghat & Mata Sahib, etc.

Daily Bus facility is available from Complex Gate-1 for local Gurudwara Sahib Darshan at starting from 9 Am. Ticket is Rs.100 per seat. One can also take independent taxi which will cost Rs.600/-.

Nanded is well connected by train to Amritsar, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad etc. Gurudwara Complex is 1 KM from rail station, Free bus ferry is available from Gate-1 to Railway station. Outside The Hazur Sahib complex, Gate-1, there is a taxi stand, railway ticket booking counter, help desk and reception.

Its a Samadhi of Guru Gobind Singhji. Spectacular architecture better than TAJ MAHAL. The minute we enter the premise the air itself is so serene that all our worries vanish. Inside the Gurudwara everything is so mesmerizing, tomb-walls-doors everything is of gold and marble. The prasad was simply amazing. Theres a well from where the water was supplied to construct the Gurudwara. Another amazing experience was the Light (lazer),sound and water show about the history of 10 Gurus. Its an amphi theater free show. Its always pleasant in the evening sharp 7:45pm the show starts lasts for an hr and extremely enjoyable and informative. Some parts are in punjabi but we still understand. Outside the gurudwara a feeling of Punjab is der but there's no lassi or chaas :(.

This is the samadhi of ninth guru of Sikhs shri Guru Gobind Singhji. The gurudwara is spic and span and maintained superbly. The moment you step in you feel mesmerised by the holy chants and whiteness. Certainly a place to visit even for non-sikhs. The langar ka prasad is also good. You can even help out in the kitchen.

The city has been totally transformed since my last visit 20 years ago.Always available good accomodation, small township, simple people, away from hustle-bustle of metro life.

Best thing I liked was the Light & sound show, open air in the evening, connecting younger generation with glorious past.

It was like walking into heaven.. The Gurudwara itself is so beautiful! Built using Marble and all white, it is a sight to behold! A shrine dedicated to the tenth Guru of Sikhism, Sri Guru Gobind Singhji, made it all the more an emotional visit. I wish I could teleport myself back.. The accommodation in Sachkhand complex is clean and very comfortable, very well maintained! Looking forward to going back soon..

A beautiful serene place - such a peaceful place that you will immediately fall in love with Sikhism.

The temple premises are grand, beautifully designed and more importantly, the vibrations are very positive.

Langar again shows that feeding mankind is the best way to serve the Lord.

An amazing experience - Satnam waaheguru

Very beautiful Gurudwara of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib.
Few points for fellow travellers:-

1) Accomodation is provided by trust of Gurudwara, you need to book rooms online. AC(tariff Rs600/-) as well as Non-AC rooms are available as per your budget. We stayed inside the Gurudwara complex in an AC room. Rooms are good enough for the budget. Clean and hygenic which serves the purpose. Rooms are extremely Big in size, so would recommend booking 1 room for atleast 4-5 persons.

Note: There is Kirtan going on 24x7 inside the complex. So if you want a very quite place to sleep at night than avoid rooms inside the complex and better go for NRI complex which is few meters away from the Hazur Sahib.

2) Always remember to cover your Head within the premises of Gurudwara. Prefarably carry your own scarf/Bandana(Cotton as it is hot throughout the year) as the one they provide in the complex will slip your head often.

3) Photography is allowed inside the premises but not inside the main sanctorum.

4) Langar is available, also there is provision of dining table and chair within the Langar complex for old people who cannot sit on floor.

Note: Please do not waste food in Langar

5) Carry your Sunglasses as it is very Sunny throughout the year.

6) Please do not forget to taste the 'Suji Halwa' which is given as prasad. It was one of the best things in our trip. Also you can get some more prasad at the donation counter after giving some donation.

Note: Do not forget to taste this prasad as it is one of its kind and very tasty.

7) There are sovenir shops/eateries/medical store etc near the Gurudwara. They will be open at the max 10pm-11pm in the night.

8) Holy Water from the sacred well is served within the premises of the Gurudwara in a bowl, drink it as blessings from almighty Shri Gobind Singh.

Note: Do not waste water offered to you, ask for little water if you intend to have less.

9) There are many Gurudwaras near the main Gurudwara. It is preferred to book a Cab for an entire day if you want to explore this place.

Note: AC cabs are better alternative as it is very Hot in Nanded.

Last, Spend some time sitting inside the Gurudwara which is the most important divine experience to be felt.

Hope my review helps you folks!
