Nice palace, Good clicks but access denied.
Dec 2019
I was travelling from Murud to Alibaug. I saw this beautiful palace on the way. I did snapped some photographs using DSLR. Selfie with palace is not allowed too. As a guard stepped out of the gate and prevented my friends from taking selfie. Well i clicked a photograph of this palace from Murud beach using my DSLR. I inquired with people that is there any way we can enter and see the palace ? People mentioned that u are allowed only when Siddhi Sultan is in the palace and if he may allow the visitor ? Hope this palace would be opened for public just like Jai Vilas Palace in Baroda or Bangalore palace.

Imposing

Situated in a great location, looking towards the ocean and the beach. Imposing architecture. Would make a great heritage hotel. Closed and not much can be seen from the road.

Historic and Tall
Interesting but closed

We saw the palace from near its gate
Two tall pillars show a very different architecture indeed
From the lock hole a glimpse of the multi stories place shows a grand look
We saw some hens running inside plus few attendants too
It is said that lot of things were brought here in 1972 from the Janjira fort
Due to misuse and wrong handling of these this Palace has been closed for public
We were also told that the descendant lady now lives in Indore somewhere though we could not get her name
From the glimpse near main gate the palace looked extremely well maintained

This palace in Murud Alibaug is very old and now the palace is in bad condition. The place is not maintained well for the tourists to come and see the place. The palace belongs to the Nawabs.

Nawab Palace
Mar 2017 • Family
Our guide said this palace belongs to the Nawab. The palace is in good condition but the maintenance is not well here. The palace is midway to Murud fort from Alibag. One can stop for a while and have a glimpse of it.

The palace once was open to the general public but was vandalised by them. The owners have since shut the main gate and is currently out of bounds.it's nicely perched on a hill top with great views of murud beach and kasa fort.

Great architecture in poor condition

Quiet large area and good historical architecture. However not maintained in good shape. Successors of Emperor occupy the property and entry is restricted. Nothing great, unless you really love history and architecture.

Famous Haveli of Ramasay Brother's Horror Movies
Nov 2015 • Friends
During our visit of Murud Janjira, guide over there told about the descendant of Sidi Badshah staying in palace which is on Murud-Revdanda road. He also told many movies were shot there. It makes us inquisitive. On asking name of the movies, he told 'Virana', 'Purani Haveli', 'Kabrastan' and few more and we all started laughing as all were horror movies of Ramsay Brother we used to enjoy in childhood. But this information makes us curious about this place so on our way back, we found this place. This being private property no outsider is allowed. However seeing this palace from outside you immediately recognise 'the haveli' in those movies. Though entry is not allowed but we took our photos from outside the gate in backdrop of Haveli and made permanent memory of those movies
