Arriving at our lodge after check - in we were impressed with the size and space for the 4 of us. The lodge was very well appointed and presented - no complaints at all. The park? Boring......it's ok of you want to do a few sports activities and swim. The pub on site has no entertainment on evenings but the... More

Arrived with Pod our caravan just after midday. Had booked a woodland pitch so we were expecting to be surrounded by trees and peaceful and quiet. Not the case. We were assigned a pitch in an open area surrounded by people with young families. Nothing against kids. We've had them and all grown up, just not the environment we had... More

We needed a relaxing weekend away and that was what we got, well almost. The staff at reception were great, quick check in. We stayed in cabin 4, which had an outside hot tub. The cabin was clean the only thing i felt it lacked was nice outside seating. The organised activities were great, my 8 yr old enjoyed the... More

We have just stayed in cabin 28 myself, husband and two kids aged 8 & 15. The cabin (number 28) was beautiful, immaculate and everything we needed was made available including a few extras such as milk, tea, coffee, biscuits, toilet roll, slippers and dressing gowns. We had a balcony at the front of the lodge and a hot tub... More

Just returned from a weekend in Kielder at Leaplish. Lovely setting, good amenities, but the accommodation (a 'superior' cabin) was well below expectations. Having paid £680 for three nights would have expected bug screens so we could open the windows (was stifling hot and millions of midges prevented us opening doors or windows), or at least a £30 pedestal fan... We stayed here with our motorhome over a weekend. We arrived just after lunch and so had our pick of pitches. They are not assigned when you book, so filled up quickly as the day went on. The site is lovely, with beautiful views over Kielder Water and beyond. Pitches are quite large and the facilities are great, with really... More

Just returned from a self-catering lodge holiday at Leaplish, Kielder (in June) - had a fantastic time. I wanted peace and quiet to do a few days of dog walking, reading, watching DVDs, snoozing. I got all of that in abundance ... I had total peace with only the sound of birdsong (and was even greeted by rabbits eating grass... More

I Have just got back from a week away at kielder cabin park, The cabin was lovely just a little on the small side. The main problem was the midges that swarmed around the park, you were given one bottle of bug spray which didnt go very far and it was £8 in the shop which is very expensive. Also... More

We stayed here for the bank holiday weekend at the end of April. We booked into the Otterstone Lodge and was well impressed with standard of accomodation. The only downside to the cabin was the water pressure for the whirlpool bath, it took forever to fill the batj up...but it didn't interfere with the overall stay. We totally recommend booking...
