江湾比起婺源的其他村子，显得气派多了。特别是一进村子的萧江祠堂，超级气派，里面都是进口的木材，雕花也好看，虽然是最近几年才修的吧。村子里还有个花园，挺漂亮的。厕所也很干净。除了这些，其他的大户人家的房子也保护的相对要完整多了。还有一条街专门是买东西的商业街。

江湾属于游览婺源的东线一站，位置在婺源县的东北，在婺源县老汽车站上车，在江湾镇下车即可，车半个小时一趟，江湾镇的街道两旁是小商铺和饭店，江湾在婺源套票的景点中属于五A级的，景区的大门就在路西，步入景区的大门，就可以看到曲折的莲花池水桥，桥中的亭子四角都悬挂着“萧江”的红色旗帜，左边就是高大的“萧江宗祠”了，萧江宗祠始建于明万历八年，是婺源四大古建之首，在最北面还有一座山，山上观景台，是拍摄江湾全景最好的地方。景区内有一家来邮局，里面有很多漂亮的明信片和手绘的婺源地图，可以买来送朋友或者收藏。江湾的住处很多，在景区内和镇中都有很多宾馆和农家客栈，平日里的客人并不多，价格也不贵，很多客栈还可以提供餐饮。红鲤鱼是这里的特色，味道鲜美，享有盛誉，去了一定要尝尝。
