The ticket entrance fee is RMB60, but if you have the village package ticket (RMB210), it is included. It is really worth going all the way up to the mountain. It is pretty easy to get up there because there are walking trails covered with stones. I recommend going in March to this place, as in April the rapeseed flowers had already fallen. You can do this site in 2 hours maximum.

Wuyuan is called the most beautiful village in China and Jiangling is the town well known for its scenery of terraced fields of canola flowers (some call it rapeseed flowers), and it is indeed quite a treat for your eyes and for photographers' lenses. The best time to visit is the middle of March to early April, when you'll see the layers of yellowish flowers spread out all over.

in the early morning, the tour bus arrived at the bottom of the terrace and the car park was fully packed with tourists. we had to change local mini bus to navigate the winding road going up the hill. the viewing platform on top of the hill had a woderful view of the whole terrace area, with village houses dotted around. if not with so many tourists around you, this is probably a very peaceful and relaxing place to sit and have a cup of tea. unfortuately, this is a hot spot for local tourists during the peak season, march/april. it is quite difficult to take a picture without someone inside. nevertheless, i very much enjoyed the walk down hill in between the canola fields.
