Just visited this family run wine tasting with caves today on our way back from Château Chenonceau and made some lovely memories. A good selection of brilliantly priced wines - the Sauvignon Blanc and Rose were particularly good. We visited the small cellar dug by Pere Auguste by hand himself and used the stones to make the house. His great great grandson spoke excellent English and showed our daughter how to use the labelling machine - she was marvelled!

This is a small family run winery with a good selection of Loire wines from different appellations. Adrien, who I believe is the 6th generation of the family involved in the business, was only too happy to help with my request to taste the relatively scarce Touraine Chenonceaux blanc which is 100% sauvignon blanc. His English is way better than my French, but what really came across was his love of his trade. He offered me the opportunity to taste the other wines produced here, but driving back to our hotel prevented this. I can confirm the wine is very good - not as intense at NZ sauvignon, but a vey good and affordable alternative to Sancerre or Pouilly Fume.

You don't need to pre book and we just turned up one lunch time. It is a family run winery and really nice to meet a member of the family - the passion is much more obvious. Really informative about the wines and the area. Great value tasting and as people have said, free if you purchase wine...which of course we did! Defiantly worth the trip.

Easy spot to try right near Chenonceaux. Nice, short tour and 5 wine tasting. Small fee 3 - euro, or free if wine purchased. We bought 3 bottles. Rosé very refreshing. Also had some Chenonceaux specific white and red. Definitely worth the trip.
