We visited between Christmas and new year 2023. The kitchen was about to close but took our lunch order and was amended it to our taste. The food was very good, just what we needed and with the most gorgeous view across the fields to the hills beyond. I have deducted one spot as the cafe was quite grubby after what looked like a very busy service, and there was a member of staff cleaning the cutlery in quite dirty water on the table next to us. The staff were very polite and so helpful, I would highly recommend the cafe and was glad we stopped having seen the roadside sign.

Nothing planned for Valentines of course but when we saw that Rowdey Cow had a cancellation we booked it.
A fantastic night, live guitar music, a wonderful menu with 'tongue in cheek' names. Try saying Pork in Cider seriously 😊
Very reasonably priced wine, did intend taking some home but ....
Lovely staff and we were very well looked after.

Attended yesterday for a 'lock down' treat - Well organised Queing system in place, 2 metres apart, 1 family in at a time, hand cleaning station on entry and card payments only. Chalk board advertising availability of flavours including daily specials! So plenty of time to choose and change mind again. Tried an banana and toffee milkshake for a change with was gorgeous - 15 yo went for her favourite mint choc chip and salted caramel 🤩
Thank you

I’ve been wanting to visit for a while and persuaded my husband to try it. The ordering was very organised and felt safe. A bit of a queue for ordering but our food was hot and very good. Lots of animals for the kids to look at and a play centre. The Icecream looked good and there were plenty of people trying it. Great for families.

A lovely cafe, very clean and very helpful staff.
The breakfast was very nice, toast was lovely and plenty of tea. We sat outside as it was a lovely morning and we had our dog with us, we could have sat in what was like a conservatory if we had wanted.
The toilets were also well kept and clean.

We stopped on passing for something to possible eat. The food was amazing, the chicken was lovely and moist and the fries were crisp and plentiful. The salad was really good, despite all of it being served in a cardboard box.

Just lunch at The Rowdey Cow, with my husband and disabled son. The 3 of us had ham egg and chips. We had to wait three quarters of a hour, for our meal. The food was very poor value for money, and it tasted bloody awful. The staff were very young and inexperienced. They couldn't cope on a "normal," bank holiday weekend. There wasn't enough cutlery, and we saw at least one family walk out. After our meal, my husband is now feeling quite ill. We will not be visiting The Rowdey Cow again. I would not recommend it to anyone, not even a dog.

Simple to say the service was awful, the food vastly overpriced and disgusting
We sent it all back, received a refund and left

Over £7 for a jacket potato. Rather steep I felt
Was a favourite spot of ours but no longer. Plenty of other places to go

When they first opened the breakfasts were great.
Now they are average, made with cheap produce.
Expensive for what you are getting.
Ice cream is tasty with a lot of choice of different flavours.
Gets very busy in the day if the weathers nice.
