I visited Lohagad fort for the first time, this July 2016. Its an amazing place to visit. On the way you might find green valley and rain after every single min. The way to top hill is about 2+ hrs by walking so be careful to take your shoes and other necessary instruments. Reaching to the top of the fort... More

We went during the rains so the climb was slippery.however, after reaching the top, it's a breathtaking view.there are many points of photography during the climb.take a wind cheater with you as the wind is very cold on the top.

Worth the visit anytime of the year except in scorching summer. I visited this place in July when the rains were at their fullest. Before starting the trek to this fort, have light snack from anyone of the stalls near the entry to the stairs. Then set on and keep aside an hour to trek to this fort and lurk... More

Lohagad is supposed to be easier trek in the surrounding area...though sufficient to walk, has no unsafe/ adventurous things...just be sure to have someone who can direct you. Couple of points where U can get lost in the jungle. Keep handy numbers of trekkers friends.

If you have car, you can reach till base village and start climbing the stairs (30 mins to top). The tar road from Malavali to Lohagad is nice these days but... More

We ( 6 women) went to Lohagad Fort on 16th July,2016. Started from Pune at around 8:30 AM in Xylo and reached Lohagad by 10:15 AM. Bought buttas, ate them before starting our walk (otherwise monkeys will block your way to snatch the food from you). Started walking on the steps and it took us a while to settle for... More
