We are a couple and booked villa through airbnb and we got the excellent view of Pavana lake overviewing shayadari mountains. From Lonavala it took one hour to reach the villa as the road was very tricky and muddy too. Enroute we saw many camping sites as Pavana is famous for. The atmosphere is very pleasant and enchanting. Sunrise and sunset are amazing. We have a swimming pool with a view of lake and mountains that is really amazing. We spend most of the time in reading Agatha’s autobiography and enjoying the Mother Nature.
Surely I recommend to stay in Princess Vista.
Savita made a very good meal for us. Dal, chaval, roti and sabji. We felt home away from home.

Reached the place around 2 am. At that time, I couldn't imagine anything but after waking up at 6 am, I was stunned to see the beauty of the lake and the entire place around it. It was very pleasant, and as it was a weekday, there was hardly anyone around. Without any crowd, the place was even more appealing. Water was clean and calm, I wished I carried some extra pair of clothes so that I could have taken a small swim.

We visited Lonawala and stayed on a camping resort located on the shores of this lake. The lake is very beautiful and is a source of drinking water supply to Pune and nearby areas. Many hotels have come up in the vicinity and in the morning when you take a stroll you can hear lots of birds chirping around. there is lots of photo opportunity around this picturesque lake.

Pawna lake is a good place which is close to cities like Mumbai and Pune, a place where weather is nice and one of experience if you to stay in a tent and experience it..there are multiple tenting options available around Pawna lake and also option of boating in the lake.
Good place to chill out with friends and family.
Area ia safe as tent owners or locals take care of that..

Great place for a one day outing family and friends. Also a great place for one night camping. Many agencies arrange a tent like stay in winters.

It is easily reachable from Pune by private vehicle. Good road, highly crowded, popular place. Best place to visit is winter and early monsoon...however as the rains start it gets so crowded that it becomes a big headache driving here in a car.

Driving bikes here is easier.

One can visit this place in winters. Excellent view. People must have visited 50 times to Lonavala, but I am sure they must have missed Pawana. Must visit. They have reasonable camping options as well.

Best place to enjoy during winter’s if you stay near mumbai or Pune. It’s peaceful... unfortunately this time it wasn’t that cold when I went in 2nd last week of December. Best time to enjoy the lake is late night. can have a very nice view of sunset and sunrise

The distance fro Pune to Pawana Dam is 45kms. Take the NH4 & exit at BADE Hospital(Somatne phata). The road from the exit to pawana dam is small & around 20kms. takes 40-45 minutes.
The sunset from this place is very beautiful.
