Not such an easy trek
Jan 2020 • Friends
Well, the heading gives u an idea...I look for easy treks n go like once or twice a year. Checked pics, reviews n everyone said it's a very easy trek. So took it up with a group.
It has a steep gradient in at least 5 patches...with d mud slipping n not much to catch around...I certainly didn't find it easy. Same for few other ppl in our group.
There was another group of about 30 ppl who were going back Midway.
Plus there is literally no shade on the way up & at the top too...so u can't really rest or take a proper break.
Writing this from a beginner perspective. It's better to pick up forts with proper steps n tea tapris for beginners IMO.

Not looking like nose also you have to stand on a busy road to see this point. Nothing great other than taking few clicks. Good place for trekking.

Never miss it

It was a great experience to be there on Sunset time. The crowd is too much to get a place and enjoy. But Visiting Khandala without being spending time in Dukes nose is unpardonable. But if you are adventurous you may climb to the top FROM BEHIND.

Amazing Trek Must try
Dec 2018 • Friends
Visited Duke's nose last weekend with society's friends. It is amazing place to visit.. We started from Kurwande village. Its a small town where we stayed on Saturday evening and started the trek on Sunday morning. Route to Dukes nose goes from this village. There are smaller hills and lot of up and downs. After few hills there are couple of difficult hills. If you have kids with you , you will need to be careful on those last hills.
Final one is bit more difficult. But dont worry much you will be able to make it is not that difficult.

Overall excellent refreshing trek. Must do it.

Few things to note
*) On top there is lot of wind and it will literally push you. Be very careful when on top. Specially if you have kid with you. Same is for adults also.
*) You don't get anything once you leave Kurvande village. Make sure you carry enough water and snacks.
*) Don't carry too much on your back.
*) While coming back you dont need to take hilly route. There is normal route also available. Check for it.

This place is a boost one needs to pump up adventure quest..
A moderate climb from kurwande an hour at the most (With right kit)..but the summit is ecstatic...
So if one needs a bird's eye view of Lonavala Khandala highway..go for it..leaves you #OnAHigh

Nice place for trekking
Jan 2018 • Couples
This place if you are a trekking lover is definitely good..car can't go on the top and steps are not very good ..they are not completely cemented so have to be very careful..but once you reach the top it has a beautiful view plus a small temple too..

Great outing
Jun 2018 • Family
We did the trek in the evening as a family of four. The google map led us to a village where we parked our car and then started the trek. If you are the outdoor person and like trekking you will like this one. Difficulty level is around medium. It takes around 45 min to reach the top. We spotted only 4 more persons throughout the trek. The views from the top were super. There is a small temple at the top which adds to the appeal. The place does not have railing all around so just be careful...especially the sefie types!

Can’t take car all the way to the access point
May 2018
The road leading up to the hiking trail is not constructed well. Definitely can’t take car down the road. Will have to walk thirty minutes to reach the trail (which is fine if hiking is what you are interested in).
We went there only for tourism purposes and therefore, had to skip seeing the actual location as our car wouldn’t go in.
