Popular kite surfing beach

Good flat water section south towards the river outlet for learning kite surfing. More experienced kiters use the northern end of the beach.

Great beach; not too crowded, and the sand is nice and soft. Great for a walk in the morning or afternoon.

Went to the beach to relax but instead saw the thrilling kite surfers there.. I was scared to do it but it looked so thrilling to watch, I'm sure it should be on the to do list for all sea lovers..

This has to be 1 of the best beaches we've been to! Hills in the background make for some excellent photo ops!

Hardly any people on the beach, no matter what time of day. The water is great, makes for a great walk. Superb beach, should actually remain a little secret...

Good safe shallow beach to walk along or have a swim in the warm waters inside the stinger net. Lifesavers on duty for those wanting an extra degree of certainty.

You can forget all the troubles of the world while taking a stroll along Yorkeys Knob Beach. It is really long...around 2 kms from the headland on the northern end to the river at the southern end. Lovely views south across trinity inlet and the mountains behind Yarrabah. The swimming enclosure at the northern end of the beach is watched... More

Beautiful place not too far from Cairns with the right bus. The water is so hot at that time of year. There are nets to protect people from jellyfishes. We saw a dolphin close to us jumping out in the water.

This beach offers stunning views of the Yarabah Range, rainforest birds as you walk through the trees to get there, beautiful sand, a nice-size swimming net, and a lifeguard. Sunrise is stunning!

I got off a ship in port for a couple hours and had very simple goals. Coffee and walk on the beach. I got the coffee easily enough at a cafe close by, but it wasn't that good. I had to make the walk count and I think it did. It's a really nice beach. I didn't go swimming, just... More
