Mas Forester is like Napa in the 70s, when it was still about love of wine and not a show for snobby poseurs. We had the fortune of stumbling across Mas Forester on a recent trip to Tarragona. Expecting just a tasting, we were greeted upon arrival by Duna, the family dog, and Adria, the son of the founder of Mas Forester wines. Before we could set foot in the bodega, Adria invited us to walk the vineyard and discussed with us the history of the vineyard, the region, his family, and the winemaking process. All in all, he spent about 90 minutes with just the two of us us, free of charge, in friendly conversation before the tasting even started. And the wines are lovely, underpriced, approachable, and stately. We bought 11 bottles and requested the contact information of their importer to the US. We can't recommend Adria enough. He and Mas Forester were the highlight of our trip to Tarragona and a wonderful wine experience. …

Very friendly lady gave us a quick tailored tasting. Her English was fine (although she didn't think so!). We paid. To taste by the glass so there was no pressure to buy - although, of course we did.

Nice place. Friendly host. Worth a stop for that 'local feel'. The wines are provincial, but ambitious.

This is a small, intimate bodega with a strong family feel. Brief 15 minute tour [you may or may not find an English speaking guide] and 4-wine tasting and purchases [including shipping] available. If you are in Montblanc the bodega is a 20 minute walk from the town centre and will pass an afternoon very pleasantly. Pre-booked is best but you can probably turn up and piggy-back a tour. …
