We went with lots of hope and excitement as we have never travelled in a rope way. We went driving by road from Nalanda. It takes approximately 40 minutes to reach this place from Nalanda University. After reaching on time we got to know that KIDS BELOW 8 YEARS CANT TRAVEL ON ROPEWAY. We were thoroughly disappointed as this is something which should be well known on this forum...
Anyways we had some good tasty food at one of the restaurants within Ropeway Complex. There is adequate parking space inside and Complex is usually filled with Tourist Buses. The famous lake entry is within the complex but remains open only till 3 pm. So plan accordingly.
Happy Visiting

The Place is dedicated to Lord Buddha so you come to meditate but it's also one of the top attractions of Rajgir due to its location. The stupa is on hill top and they have a ropeway to reach there. They also have a walkway which is quite picturesque specially for a nature lover. If you love the view from ropeway, you will adore the view when you finally reach the stupa which is on a hill. The beauty of the surroundings gets further enhanced during sunset. But don't stay back to long as it will be difficult to return back at dawn if you want to walk or even with ropeway which has fixed timings.
But Beware of the monkeys around the stupa as it's a forested area and they will snatch anything. Go for the ambience and weather of the place which will be completely different from the city.

This Ashoka's stupa is actually dedicated to the Lord Buddha who happened to born here in Old Bharat. There is a pathway made of ropes and sticks which lead to the Stupa.

Ashoka Stupa Peak is located in Rajgir. It is one of the most favoured tourist attractions of the place. Though the name of the monument is Ashoka Stupa Peak, it is essentially a stupa made of bricks.

To reach this place you have to take a ropeway. On reaching the top you get very nice view from the top. Very peaceful place. Found it like one of the Buddhist stupa.

You can get a nice view from the top. This peak has huge golden statues of Lord Budhha in 4 different aasanas facing 4 different directions. Can be reached either by hiking or ropeway.
