Vishwa Shanti Stupa is a large white stupa, built in marble in Rajgir. Statues of the Buddha are mounted on stupa in four directions. It also has a small Japanese Buddhist temple with a large park. It is located on the top of Ratnagiri Hills, Ropeway is available to reach the top of the Hill. Ropeway has facility of open single seater and cabin cart. We booked ticket for cabin @ Rs. 80, the journey was enjoyable with fantastic views of hills. From Ropeway station to Shanti Stupa, there are few steps, several small stalls are available on both sides of stairs selling different souvenir items, junk jewellery, cold drinks, snacks etc. We visited the place in the end of Mar’22 afternoon, when it was very hot and humid, even walking barefooted was difficult in marble floor. The big white Shanti Stupa looks attractive, we also visited the nearby the Buddhist temple to spend some quiet time. It is also a good place for some photo ops.

A visit to the Vishava Shanti Stupa was really a great experience. Looking beautiful and awe inspiring, it sat majestically on the top of a hill and commanded a great view. It was an arduous climb for us in our early eighties. But it was worth the effort. There are quite a few monkeys around and one has to be very careful about carrying any foodstuff. We really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

We visited the Peace stupa on our trip to Bodhgaya. It has a nice cable car ride upto the top. I think one can also walk up but we didn’t have time. It was a very busy Sunday so felt a bit crowded. The place is full of monkeys and quite dirty. We just walked around and then came down. I have seen the Leh stupa which was more beautiful.

Situated on the top of a hill of 1000ft altitude. There is open carriage rope way which takes the tourists on the top of the hill and back. Not a modern arrangement but appears to be safe.
The Stupa was built by the Japaneses dedicated to Lord Buddha. Nice place to visit.

A must visit place of Bihar. Had amazing tour with my family members. People from all over Bihar and nearby states readily come here with their friends to enjoy the vacation. Here you can find plenty of photographers. At some distance from vishwa Shanti Stupa you will find Rope - way which will take you up to the mountains.

It is a beautiful pagoda . There is a buddhist shrine nearby where you can meditate. The ropeway to the top saved time though there is a walkway too . It is a good place to walk and see the hills around . There are quite well behaved langurs (monkeys) . It does not have provisions for wheelchairs and there are several steps to climb.

It's among the most unsafe rope way i have ever been to. It's completely miss managed, horrible infrastructure. Kids below 3 are not allowed. It's single seater carriage which does not stop anywhere. You have to hop into running carriage, with non functioning locks, very small place to put your feet. If you seriously think of your and your family safety avoid at any cost. We had to take stairs as we had soon 4 years old and they cannot travel alone. My wife took him up while i went on rope way with my daughter. While coming down i decided to take stairs. They are very badly designed with no uniformity in steps. No railings on Valley side. We had to hold our son constantly as he kept on slipping. There is absolutely no lightning on the way and no place to sit and relax. It's putt right dangerous. Even the stairs near start are long and slanted so you have to constantly strain your legs no to fall while coming down. The place gets 1 star from me, definitely place to avoid

This stupa is situated on a hill top and you have to reach there either by chair-rope or by walking/palanquin. Rope fares are 80 INR round trip. The view is spectacular from the top. The rope way might seem risky to some people.
