There's a belief that one should visit Sakshi Ganpati temple to give attendance that they visited Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy. This comes on the way when you return from Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy temple.

The Ganapati idol and the old temple of stone is beautiful. They have constructed a big shade for pilgrims around it.

There is a saying that one should visit Sakshi Ganapati temple in Srisailam, before visiting the main Shiva temple. Ganapati notes attendance of your visit. It is a very small temple in the beginning of Srisailam. you cant miss it.
