Arnauld is absolutely amazing! Is a compassionate owner and loves the sport. The whole dive shop was absolutely amazing and very welcoming. My girlfriend was newly certified and was extremely nervous and we tried a different dive shop but it was so hectic and disorganized that she ended up not being able to dive with them. However, Rangiroa Diving Center was amazing and catered to her needs. They recognized she was nervous and made her feel comfortable. They made little adjustments throughout the dive to make her a better diver. I definitely feel like I've found a new home and family. They were so accommodating. They worked hard to get us to see what we wanted. The dolphins for sure but I wanted to see some seahorses/macro stuff as well so he made that happen.

The dive center is conveniently located and the staff is amazing. Martin helped her on her first dive and got her back in the water without any issues unlike the other dive shops. The other dive shops also encourage touching of wildlife which is highly inappropriate and against one of the cardinal rules of diving. The dive shop is right next to two snacks: Lily and Puna so there are great options to eat. It is also right next to the dock and dive sites. We did 8 dives each with Rangiroa Diving Center and they were amazing. I will definitely go back again and see them for future dives here. Highly recommended!!!

OH! And I almost forgot. I booked my trip to Rangiroa pretty late, and almost all of the diving spots on the island was completely booked. Arnauld was completely booked too but when he found out we didn't have any dives booked with anyone, he went out of his way to rearrange his schedule to fit us in and we ended up getting 8 dives in each! We will be forever grateful for the opportunities that he gave us. Thank you so much Arnauld! We will be back.

I decided to become certified as an open water diver. After looking for places around the world I chose the Rangiroa Diving Center. I am so happy I did. The team here is top-notch providing guidance and access to some of the most incredible diving sites available.

I was matched with an instructor, JC, who was patient and took the time to educate me on the procedures and safety measures needed for enjoyable diving. I felt I had learned so much which gave me the confidence to dive with curiosity and comfort.

This center is focused on greendives which means they care deeply about the environment they are operating in. This was a critical piece for me and I appreciated the policy of passive observation and minimal disruption to the sea life.

This diving adventure was life-changing and provided a new perspective on our world. It developed within me a deeper connection to the part of our planet that sustains us.

I highly recommend this center and I hope that I have the chance to return again and again.

Quick points: very good and safety oriented dive guide, excellent boat captain, fast RIB dive boat(5-10min commute to diving), back roll entry, regular air, ~60min dives, surface interval at the shop on land.
This was a terrific diving experience with RDC. The dive briefings were thorough and safety oriented in English. They ask that you not touch the dolphins no matter how close they get. Many reasons for this, but simply trying to keep wild animals wild so they can be there in the future. The dives were excellent. Sharks, barracuda, dolphin, etc. You see a lot in a single dive!
The Tiputa pass is not a place for beginner divers. The current is strong and it's easy to get separated. Martin was an excellent dive guide x 6 dives and I'd happily dive with him again. Every dive was a new experience with new discoveries.
It took about 5-10min to get outside the Tiputa Pass. We all back rolled in at the same time. Captain of the boat was quite good and very helpful too. We returned to the dive center for surface intervals and had tea, coffee, snacks. There are a couple of great snack restaurants nearby that are excellent for lunch after diving.
If you're going to Rangiroa, RDC is an excellent dive operation with which to explore the Tiputa Pass. I highly recommend them!
Thanks RDC!!! Great time!

If you don´t want to be treated like a 5 year old don´t go there - at least not with Martin as you dive guide.

We choose this dive center in large part due to it´s policy regarding wildlife, the ecological approach and of course, the good reviews. I´m giving 2 stars only because the rental equipment as well as the captain of the boat were good.

But in 15 years of diving (ca. 500 dives in tha last couple of years under all kinds of conditions) it was the first time we switched dive centers - all due to the dive guide there, Martin. He treated us (and basically all the guest during our time there) like some unruly and incompetent children. To make it short, Martin basically made our dives miserable.

We definitely were not the only ones with this issue but what we gathered while talking to people most only stayed with them for one or two days max. And if you´re a beginner, maybe you don´t even mind this behavior as much.

Even after a mediated/translated talk nothing changed, unfortunately. Martin´s main reasoning for his behavior was that it is less stress for him and his dive center is the safest. Well, that´s just not true and another reason not to go there, since he didn´t even check our certifications. And again, we weren´t the only ones. A young couple that dove with us told us afterwards they only were OWD but joined us on our dive to nearly 30 m. People were given computers without knowing how to use them. The whole setup is just a dive accident waiting to happen.

Coincidantally, the guide of the dive center we changed to once worked here – he told us Martin was the reason he quit.

Dear Kristina, We are happy to read that you could enjoy great dives at Top Dive. Also, we are at least as sorry as you are about the tough situation that we all had to challenge in October. Indeed, you were here at the dive center when we heard that one of our instructors had to face serious personal problems, and when we found ourselves short-staffed at the very last minute. Martin had to manage this tricky situation alone and he found a short-term compromise to undertake and consider all of our divers’ safety and satisfaction. He reorganized the dives according to the current context and gave you the first dive. He also suggested to book your last dives with another dive structure for everyone to find an appropriate outcome. Which you didn’t want? Not only Martin learned to dive in Rangiroa with the best instructors, but he has long-term experience and knowledge of the area and knows well the dive site and its pitfalls. In addition, there exist specific regulations for scuba diving activities in French Polynesia where all divers must adhere too. All experienced divers have a certain experiences but they don’t know the dive site. So we may have to face to a degraded situation as explained above but to ensure all the potential dangers where assessed we ask all divers to follow strictly underwater rules. You couldn’t behave as autonomous divers and needed to follow the instructors and respond to his sign. So we don’t understand your comment where you went to dive eslewhere as this proposal was made to you by us initially which you declined ?! Thanks for your understanding RDC team

The staff at Rangiroa Diving were extremely helpful and promptly answered all my inquiries prior to arrival. I had certified 17 years ago and never gone diving again. They offered a very thorough refresher on the morning then we did 2 dives. Safety was most important to them and my instructor went out of his way to ensure I enjoyed the dives and was comfortable underwater. Their equipment was also in excellent co Siri on.

From the instructor to the office staff to the boat captain, all were very friendly. They offered pickup at my hotel and their office is right at the pier so we just walked to the boat. Highly recommend this dive shop for anyone wanting to experience the amazing Rangiroa underworld. And yes - we did get to dive with a couple dolphins.

If you’re considering to start diving in Rangiroa, you can’t go wrong with Rangiroa Diving Center. Arnauld was quick and clear responding to our many questions beforehand. We selected a private SDI Open Water certification course for the two of us and completed the eLearning from home. Once in Rangiroa, our instructor JC was the best. Patient, understanding and reassuring - and a great guy all around! We felt very welcome in the team and made 6 great dives in 3 days with JC. Everything on time but with a relaxed island vibe, using new equipment, and great care for the divers. Safely comes first with clear dive briefings and we liked the way the team promotes respecting all marine life. The underwater world here is just unbelievable; we combined dolphins, sharks, rays, turtles, and many, many other colorful fish in just a couple of dives!

Arun was a good dive master and Martin was great. They took us to the Tiputa pass each dive and it varied according to conditions. The current can be quite strong and it was sometimes difficult to proceed straight. The owner did try and tell us we could not use nitrox due to an oxygen shortage which seemed absurd. The final 2 days of diving we were able to use nitrox. The Zodiak is difficult to get into if you are short like me.

Thanks for your review. During Covid time we were facing oxygen shortage. Priority goes to hospitals in Tahiti. The oxygen comes from Tahiti and we blend Nitrox in rangiroa. Being absurd or not the priority goes to Covid people affected in great needs of oxygen. Luck we had received a B50 cylinder from Tahiti while being here and we were capable to resume our Nitrox offer Brgds Arnauld

We had read about the rich marine life in Rangiroa and wanted to see it to believe it. We hadn’t dived in a few years so we were a bit nervous but our dive master Janis Lucie was so patient, attentive and calm all throughout that we had the best time. I highly recommend booking her.
The abundance and variety of fishes is just astonishing. On our 2nd dive right when we were about to ascend, a pod of dolphins swam by to check us out. I’m glad we hired Bernard Beaussier to take professional underwater photos. These are memories worth having and we are thrilled with the photos he took.

2-Tank Dive in Rangiroa. Julien was the Dive Instructor (leader). We did two dives in the same area off the reef on the Ocean Side. All I can say is Wow! Julien was calm and went at a leisurely pace allowing us plenty of time to explore the reef and see all that it offered. He was attentive to our abilities. Safety was a priority. We saw tons of reef fish, sharks, turtles, EEL, Snapper, Barracuda, Titan TriggerFish, Napolean Humphead Wrasse, and the highlight of the 2 dives was the pod of bottlenose dolphins with babies that graced us with their presence. I highly recommend Rangiroa Diving Center and Julien.

Two days of diving with many more planned. Arnauld and Celine are super friendly, generous and easy going. I feel very safe and well versed about each dive. I know they know what they are doing, which is paramount when selecting a dive shop. We stayed at Kia Ora and we received pick up and drop off service. The equipment is well maintained at the shop. The dives are well worth the price. Also offered here are specialty courses like side mount, not to mention open water. Merci beaucoup!
