Excellent way to see the forest from above and up close. We headed for Kuranda village, the Skyrail stops 3 times and you can get of and on take time to walk in the rainforest, see birds, butterflies and smell the fresh clean air. Beautiful in so many ways, with lots of places to take pictures and go for nature... More

Friendly and informative service. Wow, the excitement of riding the cable cars was a completely worthwhile experience. No long waits. The cable cars run every 7 minutes or so. You can choose between three different types of cars - all of which provide a different experience. The views of the rainforest and surrounding city and oceans afforded to us via... More

We did the all day trip, SkyRail (Diamond View) up and train (Gold) back and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. The Kuranda Wildlife Experience had it all...kids (10 and 8 years old) held Koala's, fed the birds at BirdWorld (I felt like the Bird Whisper...had two and three birds on me eating out of my hands at a time) and... What a fantastic day out. Everything from the hotel pick up to the rangers short talking tour to the market and attractions were so well put together. Skyrail is an absolute must and, as such, negates the sight seeing stop on the train journey back down, which although lovely and informative, is a little laboured. Some experiences you do once... A must do attraction. Kuranda and the Atherton tablelands are amazing also, so perhaps take some time to do some exploring up there. Birds eye view of the rainforest from this well run facility. Diamond view is good but the normal carriages are fine also (tried both). Goes past the Barron gorges, spectacular scenery

We did the half day tour which combined the Skyrail with the railroad for the day that we arrived. It was a wonderful way to see the beautiful rain forest. The Skyrail in particular was a very relaxing, enjoyable way of getting a birds eye view of the forest. Definitely worth it.

This is a totally unique way to experience the rainforest. We prebooked on line and combined it with the trip back down from Kurunda on the steam railway. This worked extremely well, especially for anyone not too keen on heights. The cable cars are plentiful and not at all crowded. It was very easy for my husband and I to... More
