Fantastic experience that gives you a real overview of size and scale of the coat to rainforest landscape of Cairns and surrounding area. Go up earlier rather than later and spend about an hour or two at the top- didn't have time to do the scenic railway or a boat tour but both looked worthwhile. Great trip and make sure... More

It was worth the money (75$ return) to go on the skyrail cableway to the Kuranda, a nice small village on top with beautiful spots.

We enjoyed the beautiful views of the rainforest and waterfall. Our stop at Kuranda station was interesting as we explored the shops and markets and we also did walks via the rainforest and near the river. I highly recommend this day trip.

The skyrail (cable car) and train are both excellent ways to see some of the best views there are. We chose a glass bottomed cable car and it was well worth it - the heights you obtain are almost frightening, it's so good to be able to look down on untouched areas of pure rainforest. The breaks to change cars... More

We went on a combo rainforest, train ride, and skyrail day trip to Kuranda. This was the highlight for our Kuranda trip. The vistas are nice and the overall ride in the cable car was fun.

The skyrail was a wonderful experience. The train a bit less so... apparently in the hot season its like a sauna. if I did it again would go on skyrail both ways... didnt really get much of a view on train so was a bit of an anti climax after the skyrail itself.

What a wonderful feature Skyrail is. You travel in enclosed gondolas (unless you specially book an open one) at a fairly high speed for a full seven kilometres, on two separate cables, with two stops on the way. You soar above the forest, with views that nearly take your breath away, and then to your genuine disappointment it is over,... More

Weather was a bit bleak but we had a gondola to ourselves as we left at 1.45pm. Most of the traffic was coming the other way. The views were spoiled somewhat by the cloud and rain but we got off at Red Peak for the 10 minute rain forest walk. The attendants gave as an umbrella so we didn't get... More

We were a party of four, a young adult, pensioner and couple. We thoroughly enjoyed the skyrail cable ride punctuated with short stops to admire the scenery and gather information through the picture boards and onsite guide. It was truely amazing to see over the treetops and look at all the colours and drink in the canopy. The information provided... More
