The Jungle Safari is a scam in the name of tigers. One hardly sees any animals in the safari except for deers and monkeys. One should go only to experience the jungle in its natural form, not any wildlife.

Engaged in an open hooded Gypsy tour of the reserve. Beautiful and serene experience. Lush, green vegetation. Overwhelming silence of the woods. Oodles of oxygen. Lots of birds chattering about, going on with their busy day. Scattered wildlife chomping on greens. Our tour guide, Mr Hargobind was very helpful and patient. Thanks for the first meet, Corbett!

I went on June 4th. Some notes: No English-speaking guide. This is huge. Seriously, what's the point of a tour if there isn't a guide who can talk about the flora and fauna? I just had a driver (who should be looking at the road and not for animals) who would slam the brakes and point and shout some gibberish. I didn't know whether to look for an animal at ground level or in the trees. The guy didn't understand a word of English. To add to this, he was an aggressive driver and would go off-road to pass other jeeps. WTF??? I saw a total of 4 different animals: A deer at about 1km distance. Monkeys in a tree (which you can see anywhere in India). A kingfisher bird. And a rabbit - yes, the jeeps slammed to a halt while the drivers pointed excitedly a rabbit. A freakin' rabbit! I spent a total of $600USD for this trip and saw nothing. Huge waste of money. I spoke with some local Delhi people when I got back to the city, and they said that they had a similar experience, and that Jim Corbett has a reputation for being a scam.

Don't waste your time and energy if you have been to jungles earlier . This place offers you only a jeep drive of 1 hour inside jungle without any good animal except dears. You will be very disappointed at the end that you haven't spotted anything and you are unlucky , in reality no one spot any animal. The guide which will be forced on you along with driver of jeep will give you false alarms that tiger just crossed but thats where they are lying. There is nothing to see except jeep drive of 1 hour which is not worth.
