Its a great sight to lose your mind for sometime and get your mind into the nature. Its a place where you can sit for hours and hours looking out at different patterns of the jungle. I kept on sitting there for 3 complete hours thinking about anything and everything that was hitting my mind but it was peacefull. I smoked up a lot cigarettes sitting ideal over there ( *and yes i did not throe the leftovers in the river, i bought them along*)
Its a great place to spend some quality time with family, friends and most importantly with your own soul.

We had an afternoon lunch picnic here. Beautiful place, not very crowded. Some good birding as well.
Plan to spend about 3-4 hours here. Ideally go in the evening and stay till sunset

The Kosi is a perennial river like the Ramganga and its catchment lies partially in Corbett NP. From Mohan through Dhikuli till Ramnagar, the Kosi forms the eastern boundary of Jim Corbett National Park. Even though the Kosi does not enter the Park boundary, wild animals from Corbett use it for drinking especially during pinch periods. Its bed is strewn with boulders and its flow is erratic and often changes course. Like Ramganga, the Kosi too is inhabited by mahseer and attracts migratory birds...The evening walk along the kosi river is breathtaking and a lifetime experience. The topography and landscape around the Kosi river is breathtaking which make it my one of the favorite destination while visiting the Corbett National Park.

Serene and tranquil for 3 seasons and a roaring tiger in the monsoons. From winter to summer time it pulls you to itself, one cannot avoid sitting on its banks and enjoy the clear transparent waters with fishes popping out. The calmness of the river completely embeds and takes over your sight and thoughts. Pl. beware of the monsoon Kosi, as is notoriously unpredictable and very prone to floods.

It originates from the Budha Peenath of Kausani in Almora district and is stretched upto 250 kms, it finally meets into the River Ramganga which is situated near village Chamraul of district Ramnagar. The union is one of the best one can imagine on the foothills. Garjiya Devi Temple is one of the famous shrines of Uttarakhand which is situated on a huge hill in the middle of the Kosi River. The shingle river bank formed by the foaming water of Kosi River adds to the beauty and serenity of this sacred place.

Kosi is a perennial river that originate that originated from Dharpani Dhar,Perched at 2500 meters in Braamandal region of Alomar district This Himalayan river is famous by the name of “Kosila” among the local populance.Kosi river replenishes the farmlands of Kumaon and is sources of water for the wildlife thriving in the Corbett national park. Its catchment lies partially in Corbett National Park. The river forms the eastern boundary of Corbett National Park, from Mohan through Dhikuli till Ramnagar. Wild animals from Corbett use it for drinking, especially during pinch periods, although the river does not enter the park. We have stayed at Corbett blue sky resorts is one of the best places to stay in Jim Corbett.

Kosi River is a famous spot for fishing and angling activities. During the fishing season that ranges from October till mid-December, and from mid-February to June end, enthusiasts can catch mahseer at the river. Permits for fishing can be arranged via resorts and jungle lodges located around Kosi River.
Bed of the river is strewn with boulders, due to which its flow is erratic and often changes course. Damaging torrents during monsoon have given the river the status of being notorious. Due to its inhabitation by mahseer, the river allures migratory birds.
The river is full of clean and clear water - one needs to watch out for the currents. Strongly suggest that one carries some tea and refreshments - definitely adds to the charm of the trip, around of this river is dirty need improvement.
It’s good for picnic with families during non-rainy season. As during monsoon it's over flowing and dangerous. You can cross Kosi sitting on an elephant as safari. Good place to spend some time at this site.
