This temple is a nice stopby attraction, however, I would not recommend that you go out of your way to visit the temple. Its golden area is the main sanctum area and the rest is made up of lush gardens and other temples. There were a lot of 'guides' from the moment you get down of your vehicle around recommending... This amazing place feels and looks like you are in another world. It transformed me and my friends I would have to say I had a great spiritual Initiation through attending the various programmes. And understanding the importance sacred mantras and charitable work has on the planet.

We went on saturday for the darshan and it took 2 hrs. The temple is best viewed in the evening when the... More

A good temple but as usual avaricious people abound demanding special darshan tickets etc. No need of special tickets. Also they have banned mobile phones which is irksome in case you travelling in a cab and want to locate the driver. Guards near the garbagriha need some etiquette training. Otherwise it is a nice one-time visit. The annadanam was excellent.

The temple area is beautifully managed and is based on vast. Main temple building is covered with gold sheets. The architect is great and the temple is soul refreshing.

You'll have to spend extra to get a guide who will help you bypass long ques. Coz of a lil baby with us, we obviously took this route to the temple. It's a looong way to the main shrine, almost 20 - 30 mins walk depending on your speed. The path cuts through series of shops to buy all sorts... More

I sincerely do not know the history behind the temple but the main stay of this place seems to be the 'guru' rather than the main god. You will see the photo of the guru everywhere inside the premises, primarily noticable just outside the main golden temple which is believe is totally unwanted in a temple. As is the culture... It is a golden temple located in vallore and the complex is really amazing and huge. It is goddess Lakshmi temple. You get to see it nicely and worship near deity. Really marvelous and must visit as it made with 1650 kg of gold. Lot of people visit this temple for its sheer beauty.
