Temple is good but not the people's
The temple is really good and well maintained. This temple is very commercial. For everything you have to pay(darshana, mobile and footwear deposits) this temple is not like Tirupati or Tirumala. Had a bad experience with auto and taxi drivers. While getting in auto they told different price and while getting down they took 200 rs more than what we finalized. Really I am telling the people's are not at all good and supportive. They treat other state peoples very bad. They speak only Tamil(few people English) even though they know other languages. Note:Auto driver will ask 600rs for one side(only drop to temple). Don't fall in their trap. Cheap and best way to reach temple from Tirupati is, Take a train from Tirupati to katpadi junction it's around 65rs per head. Take auto from katpadi to old bus stand 20rs from bus stand to golden temple is 30rs. So total around 120rs you will reach.

Beautiful and full of positive vibes
The Golden Temple in Vellore is known to have a neat and well-organized environment and a meticulous layout, which makes the entire complex easy to navigate despite its large size. Be prepared to walk a fair bit to reach the main temple, as you follow the star shaped covered corridor to reach the main temple. The temple itself is incredibly ornate, with intricate gold carvings and detailed architecture that reflect traditional craftsmanship. This adds a sense of grandeur, making it a must-visit. The pathways and facilities are well-maintained, adding to the overall serene experience. Pro-tip; While general entry is free, there are also paid Seva tickets, starting from Rs. 150 and going up in thousands. Just to understand the basic difference. For 150 you get direct entry to the temple complex (not really useful if there is not much of a crowd). For 500 per head you get to sit in front of the deity for a few minutes but outside the door, and for 1000 per person, you get to enter the garbhagriha and have a small ritual done for yourself and family. Nevertheless in any way it's a beautiful and very energetic place. The parking is available for 70/- inside the temple complex, so that's another plus point. You are not allowed phones or cameras inside the complex, but there is a deposit counter which is fairly efficient in deposit and retrieval. There are also shops inside for souvenirs. clothes, fragrances and other similar stuff, and they also take card payments (since phones are not allowed).

    Mahalakshmi Temple cum palace :)
It is a huge place pleasant on the eyes. The Devi temple is beautifully adorned. It takes 2 hours to reach the shrine & even more when it is crowded. They perform Archanas & poojas. Do take cash with you if you intend to buy anything as a traveller since it’s a cash only place starting from the chappal stand, mobile deposit & Pooja donation counters. Mobiles are to be deposited at the entrance itself. Massive massive work goes into the maintaining it physically & spiritually.

4-5 KMs from Vellore, this is SriPuram Lakshmi Narayani Temple aka Golden Temple. As the name suggests the main temple is of gold however the main deity which is 70+ kg of solid gold is in another small temple which you visit when you exit from main temple. Entire campus is huge and built in star shape. You need to trace this entire star on foot to reach the main temple. Based on weekend or occasions expect heavy crowd here and to avoid long wait in queue buy 250Rs. special darshan tickets before you enter (just opoosite to parking there is a counter). After parking you need to deposit your phones and camera as they are strictly not allowed inside the campus. Deposit your shoes as well and enter the STAR. Entire pathway in star is very comfortable, you can walk easily and there is ample space for sitting, drinking water, washrooms are at regular distances. For specially ables there is a special entry where they can skip this entire path and enter directly. Main temple is built over a water body and if you have taken special darshan they allow you to sit for 5 minute in front of the main deity. Coming out of the main temple you get a small temple where 70KG solid gold idol is there which you can do abhishekam for 100Rs. (Gents need to go top less here so keep this in mind before paying). On the path way there are couple of temples like Ganesh temple and all which you can visit. There are many shops you can visit along the path. On exit there are food shops and a food court run by temple itself (closes at 3pm for lunch). Those like me who could not make it on time for the lunch, drive 5 km ahead and reach vellore and you can get whatever you want. Parking space in temple is not very huge, but I saw most folks coming in buses and all so car park was okiesh. Overall very peaceful and nice place. Worth one day long drive trip from Bangalore. Temple visit takes around 1 hour (depending on the crowd).

There's a long walk to be done. No mobiles allowed inside.
First stop is a Silver Ganapati, usually there's a havan going on there. Next start walking on the Star shaped parikrama. The corridors are lined with trees, birds and beautiful statues. Then you will reach the inner Parikrama - The golden temple sitting amidst a small water body. So as you walk along the water lined corridors, you can appreciate the gold work on the temple exterior.
Sri Narayani Devi is beautiful and majestic, with all the decorations.
Rs 500 ticket will get you a good darshan, Kumkumarchan, prasadam included.
Next there's a Swarna Lakshmi, where one can do abhishekam (ticketed). After that head to Balaji temple, which is beautiful.
Best time to visit is early morning when it's cool and crowds are less. One can ask for a guide as well and the ticketing office will arrange a person. Everything is done in a professional and well planned manner.

Its a 8km drive from vellore city. The temple has ample parking space and they charge rs 20. Cellphones are not allowed inside the temple, so you have to deposit your phones before entering the temple for which 5rs is charged per phone deposit. There are multiple ticket entries 100, 250, 500 etc, We took a 100rs entry ticket. You will have to walk in a star pattern pathway before entering the temple (lots of walking). The main temple darshana happens seamlessly, for 100rs ticket you also get to do abhisheka on gold sculpture of godess lakshmi. Temple is very well maintained and special arrangements are available for elderly and physically challenged. You also get anna prasada during exit pathway, which was yummy.
Overall it was joyful experience for the family.

The approach to the temple is along a star shaped covered walkway, from which you get views of the temple from all sides from across well kept gardens. We went in the early evening so we experienced the temple by the golden light of the setting sun and also floodlit after dusk. The craftsmanship of its construction was evident close up. The whole place was beautiful and tranquil. A memorable experience.

Not far from CMC Vellore this religious place is very peaceful and has all amenities. The entry was through 100/- ticket and after a circumventing central temple in a star shaped path we finally arrive at the temple. The pilgrims were not many but each place they would stop and that makes it crumpy and crowded.
Can be managed in a better way

We have visited the temple after hearing about it much words. The main gold covered temple is no doubt a work of art, an amazing site. The surrounding gardens and all are also well maintained. However somehow we felt a strong scent of business everywhere in the concept of the temple. In a shrine of God you have to pay for everything, everything is monetized somehow, starting from the shoe stalls. You have to pay to keep your shoes and bags, pay more and you can see your God more closely, the exit pathway is mandatorily leading through in house shops etc. We felt the place is highly self advertized and didnot invoked any "Bhakti" in us, it felt more like an exibition than a place of worship.

It is divine temple with 70 kg gold used . The campus is very big and you need to follow the path to complete the darshan. However, it is long queue before darshan to complete. You need to pay entry fees with different rates as per your choice.
