This Passion luxury catamaran tour of 3 islands took a whole glorious day with fun activities that included swimming, kayaking, canoeing and getting off on James Bond island made famous by the filming there of the 1974 James Bond movie, The Man with the Golden Gun.

The hearty buffet lunch onboard was very good (I loved the Tom Yum soup and the Phad Thai most especially) and the chicken served for dinner was delectable. I was very impressed by the cleanliness of our boat but I was even more impressed by our tour guide, Maria, who was very thorough with giving instructions, imparting information, pointing out the beautiful sights during the tour, being entertaining. Kudos! The other guests/tourists with us were a great mix from all over the globe and my best friend and I had so much fun talking with the ones we met! Great crowd, great guide, great experience!

Yes it's in all the guidebooks and there are so many trips to choose from that it could overly raise expectations. But it truly is a wonderful experience to sail among the islands and experience their magic. It will amaze you and you will be glad you got on that boat!
We took a speedboat trip courtesy of Siamadventureworld - more expensive than a bigger tour but we liked that they don't fill their boats to capacity and they time the trip to avoid bumping into other tourists - we really did feel we had the islands to ourselves and that made it feel special.

I had been to Phang Nga in 1978, and have longed to go back ever since. So, during my wife and my month in Thailand in March 2020, we booked a cruise on one of the few still operating cruises operating on the bay during the current Corona Virus cutback. We wanted to book with Vitamin Fast Boat tours because they visit the floating island; however, they were full on the one day we had in Phuket, so we booked with the Sea Cave Canoe Tours, which is a large Slow Boat tour which does not visit the floating island, but does a great tour of the island caves and lagoons. It was a great tour, which took us by many of the islands and inside two island's set of caves with trips into the interior of the islands. Great!

The food onboard was excellent, and much better than expected. The crew took good care of all of us, and even provided entertainment as we sailed.

We arranged our trip with Blu Anda and we were not disappointed, picked up from our Hotel JW Marriott in an air conditioned van, taken to a small restaurant for lunch before boarding our boat under the guidance of our guide for the day Mat, she was awesome. Our first stop was to a remote beach on La Wa Island and then onto a small boat ride around the coves and caves of Hong Island, then it was onto the highlight of the day ''James Bond Island'' location of ''The Man with the golden Gun'' then watched the sun set and then back for dinner, great food and lots for everyone.

Highly recommend Blu Anda great value for money and excellent staff

We booked a private boat from Coconut Island out to Phang Nga bay, first stop at the caves with kayaks. Pricey with Andaman Leisure, but convenient, comfortable, a speedy boat and no time hanging around for others in the group. A choice of lunch stops.... Speed boat is the way to cruise between the islands.
The bay itself is amazing: the island and mangrove scenery, the floating village, the caves.
James Bond Island is a bit touristy, but it would be! Still amazing to see. A miracle of nature that island is still standing with its apex bigger than its base.

If you're in the area, you have to visit. Having said that, we didn't visit the Phi Phi.

I would advise everyone not to visit this place or james bond island as there is nothing out there. It is a highly exaggerated tourist spot. The food given in between this and james bond island is sub standard. As the cost is very heavy and it is basically a boat ride , might as well avoid it.

It's not often that one gets the chance to experience something so incredibly surreal. For us, Phuket was a dream destination. Our first visit was a cruise, which included several other wonderful destinations, but we want to go back to Phuket! What made our visit to Phuket so special was the tour we took of Phang Nga Bay. We saw so many photos and videos beforehand, but for us to actually BE there, as brief a time as it may have been, was just so incredibly magical. We took a boat tour and had lunch at the fishing village, and the entire time we were just so tremendously enamored. We couldn't actually comprehend that we were actually there, the entire experience felt beyond surreal. We cannot wait to visit again!

If you're in the area or travelling between Phuket and Krabi it's worth taking in Phang Nga Bay.

James Bond Island, Koh Panyee, the caves, kayaking and the mangroves make for a pleasant day on the bay.

The duration will vary depending upon where you leave from. We did it from Phang Nga so only took around 4 hours.

Visited James Bond Island (The man with the golden gun) in Phang Nga bay. The rock formations are incredible. A trip well worth the money to get there. Many vendors are selling day trips so shop around. We took a taxi and then longtail boat . An incredible day.
