They upgraded the site. It used to only be the tomb but now it's a large "cultural park" that is actually very nice. They display the local life and culture, crafts, housing, a small museum, they make bread, pottery, musical instruments, copper pieces, fabric etc. Very interesting. There is also a camel and several ostriches. they sell some food and drink (fresh pomegranate juice etc) and souvenirs that are even not more expensive than in the old town. Towards the exit, they sell nuts and jade etc. The. unts guy was very friendly and helpful, we tried several teas and nuts and bought some (a bit more expensive than in the street). Highly recommend this park.

The Apakh Hoja masoleum was amazing. At entrance at 10:30 am is an Uighur show, included in ticket. I easily took a cheap taxi here from my hotel in Kashgar. The show was a little touristy and there are areas that feel touristy BUT.. the actual mosque and masoleum architecture is amazing!!! It was built in 1640 and is the most magnificent example of Uighur Islamic architecture in the region. I spent about two hours wandering the complex and it wasn’t too crowded, which is also nice. Tip: I accidentally paid a price including another show at the end which was not necessary as there is the included show at beginning as well.

As legend has it, Xiang Fei was a concubine for the Qianlong Emperor of the Qing dynasty in the 18th century (reference: Wikipedia). According to this legend, the emperor had welcomed Xiang Fei to the imperial palace in Beijing, and she was known as the "Fragrant Concubine" because of the sweet scent her body naturally produced. Xiang Fei had lived in the Beijing imperial palace until her death, at which time her body was brought back to hometown, Kashgar. She is now entombed in the Xiang Fei (Abakh Hoja) Tomb.
As can be seen from the attached photos, the garden area around the Tomb is a very large area and very beautifully landscaped. The Tomb itself is quite stunning on the outside and there is a picturesque water pond in front of the structure.
Visitors are allowed inside the Tomb, and the area where Xiang Fei was supposedly laid to rest can be seen inside, as well as caskets for other important dignitaries. No photos were allowed inside the Tomb.
Very interesting and lovely place to visit. It is quiet and peaceful visiting the Tomb.

Peaceful, green garden with Abakh Hoja mausoleum in the park. Very nice and elegant mausoleum with mysterious history and culture about Abakh Hoja family from ancient Kashgar. Enjoy the long history and exquisite mosques, beautiful architecture and Uygur dance, it was definitely worth visiting.

A family cemetery for five generations of Kashgar rulers and their families. It is also famous for containing the tomb of Emperor Qianlong's (1711 to 1799) Fragrant Concubine, the Imperial Consort Rong. The mausoleum with gardens, was built in 1640.

Already the way to the Abakh Hoja Tomb by taxi or by bus brings you a bit outside the city centre what is interesting to see. Taxi from the center was 9rmb.
The Tomb itself is very nice and it was not overcrowded. Furthermore there is the friday mosque nearby which is also included within the entry fee (in the late afternoon after 5pm we payed 15rmb per person but don’t know if it was because it was late?). The park outside the tomb was very peaceful and invites to relax for a few minutes. We really like the architecture of this place. Would recommend to visit.

Apak Hoja Mausoleum also well known as Xiangfei mu (the fragrant concubine ) is set in large grounds, about 3 miles from the centre of Kashgar and located in Hezret village. A 58 foot dome houses the coffins of five generations (a total of 72 people) draped in satins and silks. In addition to the famous mausoleum, there grounds hold the Friday Mosque and Sermon Hall. , Apak Hoja was the scion of a respected Sufi family of the Ak Tagh Khojas
