A really beautiful taoist temple at the base of Hua Mountain
May 2019
This temple has several courtyards with ancient trees, carvings, and miniature ponds. The walkways around the courtyards are full of beautifully painted wooden beams. It is a great place to lie down before the long walk up Mount Hua if there are not too many people. It gets crowded and noisy during holidays, but otherwise is generally peaceful and quite beautiful.

Beautiful temple with lots of history
Sep 2013 • Friends
This temple at the entry to the valley leading up to the Huashan climb is a wonderful place to spend an hour or two. There is a very considerable amount of cultural heritage in the Huashan area and this Daoist temple was a key location for much of it. It was also the home of the fabled monk Chen Tuan, who had caves and retreats elsewhere on the mountain as well. Lots of good places to eat after having a good look around as well.

Not worth going out of your way for.
If this is along your way to elsewhere in huashan, then stop by for a brief look, as you get free entry if you've already purchased a ticket for huashan. But otherwise, there's not much here worth going out of your way for, just more odd-shaped boulders and views of the mountains.
