Just adjacent to Maoling mausoleum is the site of the tomb of the emperor. A vast park like structure with rectangular walking paths, this place has a serenity and peacefulness that is hard to match. If you are already visiting Maoling then this is a must see

I also enjoyed this sightseeing very much during this weather time. It was really cool and amazing. I loved the photos I took and I learned a lot. It was a lot of walking but worth it with our tour guide she was great.

A must see place for china history fans
Apr 2017 • Family
Wudi has been mentioned a number of times in the history of China associated with the Huns in the years around 100 BC. The two great generals of the Western Han dynasty, Wei Qing and Huo Qubing, were also buried close by.
If you love the stories of that time, you need to be here and see it, feel it yourself.

Magnificent tomb
Apr 2014 • Solo
The mausoleum of Han Wu Di is a grand sight, and probably one of the best-kept of the Han tombs. Neat rows of conifers line the surface of this large, mostly-intact earthern pyramid. Boards with artwork and descriptions of important people in the Martial Emperor's life are placed along the path running from the compound entrance to the emperor's memorial stele. It's a great place to visit for those interested in this very important Chinese emperor, but I hope they plan on replacing the boards with statues for a proper spirit way. Entry seems pricey, but I think it also includes entry to the Huo Qubing tomb and Maoling museum a little distance away.
