My journey through Maling River Canyon in Guizhou was a breathtaking exploration of nature's grandeur. Towering cliffs and lush vegetation framed the gently winding river below. The numerous waterfalls, particularly the mesmerizing Xiniu Waterfall, created a symphony of sounds and mist. Walking along the suspended glass walkway, I experienced the exhilaration of the canyon's depth. Rich in biodiversity and historical inscriptions, the canyon offered a blend of natural beauty and historical intrigue. This visit was not just a journey through a geographical marvel but an immersive experience in nature's artistry and the serene power of water.

Loved this place. A deep gorge with impressive high waterfalls thundering down all along the gorge.
The have to traverse a number of water hazards, so bring an umbrella. Also, cough up for the lift down into the gorge. It is cheap and worth it.
At the time of writing they were making repairs to the hanging bridge and the pathway on the other side of the gorge, but even walking down the retreading your steps was great fun.
An unheralded and beautiful surprise. Make sure there is water in the falls at your time of year.

Like all attractions near Xingyi, this place was not too crowded. We took a city bus from our hotel in Xingyi, which took about 20 minutes. From the bus stop, there is short walk to the top of a vertical glass elevator that takes you down to near the river at the bottom.
We spent about four hours walking and climbing along the pathway, which is a canyon trail between two very vertical sides. There are numerous waterfalls. You need to be in shape to enjoy the entire trail because there are countless steps.

We visited as part of our private tour. Not realizing there was an elevator for a round trip journey to reach the gorge beforehand, we took the stairs down to the gorge. There were countless steps and absolutely not ideal for weak knees. I highly recommend using the elevator but the walk will be farther to reach the viewing platform for the major waterfall. After reaching the fall, find the hanging bridge to cross to the other side to head back to the elevator. The view is also spectacular. We took the elevator up to exit. It was still quite a walk uphill to reach the parking lot after exiting the elevator.
There were not too many visitors in the morning and it was perfect for taking photos.

Don't miss this spectacular and impressive national geopark. A fairly easy walk, all boardwalk, some steps up and down.
Take the lift 75m to starting point. We found that it is a little easier anti -clockwise (turn left when you get out of lift) as there are less steps going up. But if you have knee problems and prefer going up rather than down, turn right when you exit lift.
The roar of the numerous waterfalls and view of the canyon from the bridges soothe the soul, calms the mind. We left fully recharged. A most memorable experience not to be missed if you are in Xingyi

I read some reviews before we travel to Xingyi county to see the Malinghe scenic gorge and was expecting a nice valley with a bunch of waterfalls and nature. But after we walked around today I need to say there is much more then that. It's the real "Jurassic park" scenery with water, rocks and green. If you walk around with open eyes and read the sign board carefully you have to get in your mind what is directly in front of you... Million years old stone formations, stalactites and stalagmites. It must be a huge cave long long time ago. Of course the amazing number of waterfall and different beauty of it very enjoyable. The place have a glass elevator which we used on the way back but that's not the attraction you like to see. The entree fee is 80 RMB. We get there by our own car and it's a bit difficult to find the way because the road sign stop on the way only short distance before you arrive you have a final one.

My friend and I were in Xingyi and were told we should go see the waterfalls. The ticket in was 80rmb but it was well worth it. The park is really well designed with a path going down both sides of the gorge and two suspension bridges connecting it so you can do a full loop. Do not bother with the glass elevator down there are not that many steps to get to the falls. We arrived right after the park opened during National Holiday and there was almost nobody there so we enjoyed the beautiful waterfalls by ourselves!

The concrete arch bridge spanning across the Maling River gorge, one of the most beautiful and scenic waterways in China, is truly an impressive sight when viewed walking through the gorge with its many cascading waterfalls and narrow passages set onto its cliffs. Like to share my photo taken on a foggy morning with the bridge is still visible and the largest waterfall in the gorge seen in the foreground.

We (my GF and I) visited this place in early september. The weather was just perfect and there was not many people, hence, the area was very quiet.
The place looks amazing. You can take a walk from the top of the hill and go down into the canyon. It takes 20 minutes to meet the river. There the view is outstanding. Much more impressive than the overated Hangguoshu Falls.
You can stay in Xingyi (nice town, nice people) and go see other places around (10 000 Peaks Forest ...).

We had a guide, a driver and a car, therefore I cannot be of any help with public transportations. One suggestion is you may want to check into hiring a taxi and negotiate a daily rate. Once you arrive the scenic sites, you have a choice of using the transportations within the scenic area which I highly recommend or walk.
I believe there are public buses or shuttles that take passengers from the city to the park. We decided not to spend the time to figure out getting from point A to point B. With a guide, he took the most direct route with us to the scenic site. Well worth the money for us.
