Entrance fee: 20 RMB

We came from Zhaoqing by Didi (90RMB one way).

First I got disappointed by starting the circle around the village because of construction sides, people with sledgehammers, cars driving around etc, but as soon as you go inside of it, you get the feeling this area is recommended for.

Check out the pictures and decide, if you want to come or not.

Considering the traveling costs it is a bit expensive for what you get. After 1h you are done.

Why is this place not a world heritage site! It's name is actually baguacun - 八卦村 - 8 sided village.

This is village in the shape of a octagon. It's 800 years old and almost totally original. Not developed at all with very few tourists. The houses are tiny terraces and there are hundreds of them and about 10 temples crammed in there. There are lots of crazy winding streets and some are only a couple of feet wide and over grown.

It is mostly abandoned but there are still 3 old people and one middle aged couple that live there. The weirdest thing is that most of the houses look like they've been left over night. Coking utensils, furniture, photos etc just left there.

Absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone in Southern China to visit.

It's a few hour (1-2) taxi from GuangZhou and about 4 from Shenzhen. Nearest town is huilongzhen 回龙镇 and the nearest City is 肇庆.

Licha Bagua cun (licha bagua village) is a small village of houses, which are arranged as a circle, and at the center these is a small area with bagua symbol (yin and yang). Most of houses are closed, but at some of them (2-3 houses) people live. Village is very ancient. You can see a traditional chinese architecture. A ticket to get inside village costs 20yuan.
I travelled there from Guangzhou. Firstly, i went to Fangcun bus station, there i got a ticket to Zhaoqing (2-2.5 hours, about 50yuan). At Zhaoqing i went to Qiaoxi bus station, where i took 315 bus (30min, about 7yuan). Dont forget to ask bus driver to stop near Licha Bagua Cun.
I returned to Guangzhou at 4pm, so i spend about 7-8hours at all this trip and i dont regret! It was one of best days, which i spend in China.
