Great place for hiking
May 2015 • Friends
It was quite physical-demanding to climb to the top of the hill but you can always drive there. There is a temple that we visited every year to pray for good luck for the new year to come. People are supposed to be quiet to respect the religion. Took an hour to get to the top and from there you can get a view of the city and the river is right in front of you. We love the place.

Good quite place for a walk
Jun 2015 • Couples
The trails up the hills are good and not difficult. The pagoda building at the peak is old and slightly rusty but good to see. A must visit to the KuanYi temple and a lake and many more nice quite spots. Do not expect to see a lot. We fed the fish and birds it was an exciting a good outing event. The peoples seling at the stalls are very friendly and humble. I will certainly find time to go again.

Big mountain park
Apr 2011
We visited the Dayan Mountain (大雁山) in April 2010 during our trip to Heshan City. We took a taxi from Shaping Town to reach there.

The cost of admission is RMB10 per person, unless you are a resident then it is free. It is essentially a very large country park with very hilly terrain. The road is paved and cars are permitted to drive into the park. The park has a number of areas including:

- A monk monastery
- A BBQ and panic area
- A landscaped pond area
- Small commercial shopping area
- Lots of trees and vegetation
- A cave
- A pagoda

It took about 2.5 hours of walking to get from one side of the park to the other. It can be exhausting and physically demanding as it is quite hilly. But, it is very scenic as the hilly has lots of mature trees and vegetation.
