BLEW MY MIND!!! Far more value than the cost of entrance
Apr 2016
To start off, i don’t think this Name of this place is correctly labeled. The Brochure given to us at the venue names this place 'Qing Ming Shang He Tu" and not Hengdian Riverside Scene at the Pure Moon Festival' so it took a while to find it on Trip Advisor, Thank God for the picture. This location is one of 10 places that make up the Hengdian World Studio. I will advise that if anyone is coming to Hengdian World studio, they should plan to stay at least 5 days in order to see it all and the overall cost will be RMB1505 to see all 10 places. We saw this one first at a cost of RMB160 per person and it was more than worth every penny. We booked for this and another location at a hotel close to us as nobody spoke a word in English at our own Hotel and our Mandarin (A Chinese Language) is limited. The driver took us to the location and collected the payment, handed us the ticket and a brochure that showed all the 10 locations that made up the Hengdian World Studios. At the entrance, we were given a detailed map but mostly in Chinese. However the major places were written in English; Toilet, Exit, shopping area, restaurant. As t April 2016, there were 5 shows taking place inside the structure. The timing is labeled in the map in English. Make sure to get there at least 20 mins before the show starts otherwise you won’t get a seat. The shows are all free. we were able to see a show at 1pm called Dream of Bianliang which lasted for 45 minutes and that show alone made up for the gate fees. It was everything, Acrobatic, jugglers, threatre performance, reminded me of the Siam Niramit (Bangkok, Thailand) on a smaller scale. The effects were impressive, the stage was spectacular. The place itself was everything plus more than what I expected. Everything felt surreal. Beautiful, overwhelming and just grand. There were places where you could dress up and feel like a princess from 1800. LOL The places has several places you can eat inside, good facilities for toilets, many areas that disabled people can be wheeled around in. we took lots and lots of good pictures, spent 4 hours there and still didn’t feel that we saw it all. The scale of the place and size is really impressive. I will definitely recommend this place for anyone especially families . The only drawback is that the place hasn’t made adequate preparation for an international audience. All you will get is Chinese food, make sure to pack your selfie stick when coming also because I guarantee it will be picture galore.

Not a bad place. But was expecting more. Most of the places or 2nd level were close for viewing. Maybe can give this a miss if rushing for time. I would choose other palace if I were to re visit hengdian.
