Qin Dynasty was built 2200 years ago. Now we can't see the real palace therefore really love this studio palace especially after watching very popular China drama of Qin dynasty. It is much more smaller than Ming Qing palace 明清宫 but still my number 1. There are 3 show every day with different theme, by morning, noon and evening. We were able to watch 2 of it because we need to rush back to Hangzhou.

A real experience of the atmosphere of dynasty. Well known as "Chinawood", The director Zhang Yimou used this building as the backdrop for the Emperor Qin's palace for his 2002 movie Hero

Its soooo huge..you must have alot of stamina to cover the whole place on foot!
They provide rented bicycles and rickshaws to ease your trip.
Its magnificent and full of history!
If you are a history person, you will love it..their are some shows to give you a better understanding of the chinese history but you must look up for the timings because its usually housefull!

I had wanted to see this movie set and I was quite impressed. Huge place with events taking place. It was a very cold winter, hence there was no crowd.
Do be aware of one site though, where you have to sit in a ride - if you have phobias or suffer from panic attacks, i suggest you think twice. I was caught unaware that the innocent looking 'train ' ride was going to cause nausea and panic. I had the impression that we were going to ride a slow train and look at the Qin artifacts BUT was shocked that we were put through endless swirls and spins with 3D effects etc. I came out feeling sick to my stomach. There was no notice of warning etc, so be aware. Other than that, it was a good. visit.

To start off, i don’t think this Name of this place is correctly labeled. The Brochure given to us at the venue names this place 'The Palace of Emperor QIn" and not 'Hengdian Qin Dynasty Palace' so it took a while to find it on Trip Advisor, Thank God for the picture. This location is one of 10 places that make up the Hengdian World Studio. I will advise that if anyone is coming to Hengdian World studio, they should plan to stay at least 5 days in order to see it all and the overall cost will be RMB1505 to see all 10 places per person. We saw this one first at a cost of RMB160 per person and it was worth every penny. We booked for this and another location at a hotel close to us as nobody spoke a word in English at our own Hotel and our Mandarin (A Chinese Language) is limited. We spent just a night and because it rained we could see just 1 location per day. Luckily we live in China and our city is just 30 mins drive from here so we will be coming back till we see all remaining 8. LOL. The driver took us to the location and collected the payment, handed us the ticket and a brochure that showed all the 10 locations that made up the Hengdian World Studios.
The place was amazing, breathe taking, like being back in an Old Chines movie or seeing China thousands of years ago. Apparently there are a number of shows and reenactment and fixed times however as all the signs and brochures are in Chinese, there is no way to know the location or tell the time. We just stumbled on one at 1pm with a reenactment of scenes from the movie ‘Hero’. That alone was worth the whole RMB160 payment. People flying from roof tops, sword fight, stick fight. Very nice. Except!!! it was crowded( expected in China) and I spent the whole 30 mins on tip-toe craning my neck.
The places has several places you can eat inside, good facilities for toilets, many areas that disabled people can be wheeled around in. we took lots good pictures, spent 4 hours there and still didn’t feel that we saw it all. The scale of the place and size is just mind buggling. my first opinion on wlaking in there was that it reminded me so muc of the Taj Mahal in India( except that is really old and this structure has been built to look old) I will definitely recommend this place for anyone. It is suitable for everyone, Familly, children, group, romantic getaway and also for people on a wheel chair. The only drawback is that the place hasn’t made adequate preparation for an international audience. the brochure we were handed had just the names of the location in English and all other info was in Mandarin. Same with the lettering in the place. At least Toilets were written in English.

Among the attractions in Hengdian WOrld Studio, this is the one that I like most. The size of this attraction may not be comparable to the Palace of Qing and Ming but the architecture and activities here are far more interesting than others. First, the entrance pathway to the palace is so grand that you feels like this is the real world of the ancient past.
Other than that, they do have great shows, and great activities. They have 4D cinema which brings you back to the Qin Dynasty and it was really fun. The 4D show runs all day and you should spend your wisely, watch all other shows which have specific showing time, then only come and do this 4D show.
This attraction cost RMB140 for adults but children and elder above 60 yo are entitled for 30% discount. A combination tickets with other attractions applied to this as well. Plan well for your trip.
Do take note that Dazhi Temple entrance is free with any attraction's entrance ticket purchased
