This is definitely a spot to visit when you are in or near yuyao , it isn’t the biggest of museums ; but it is definitely one worth seeing. They have a wide variety of different items that take you through the history of yuyao. It is slow paced and usually peaceful. When you come through prepare to take a bit longer on this and take in the experience fully

wonderful museum

A great place to go and visit and learn of the culture and the history of the surrounding area. Many different displays and artifacts from over 7000 years old

Extremely interesting. Came across it by accident

Yuyao explained through the ages. Many pieces of pottery etc. Weaving machine with timeline. Also it is free!

The exhibits are well laid out and there are enough descriptions to make it interesting for the English speaking visitor. Some of the artwork is brilliant, and one street scene display in particular is eyecatching. The only downside was that there was a display where you could write a message on a screen or on a post-it and add it to the display and there was one message in English that used discusting language. I tried to find an attendent who spoke English and tell them to rub it out, but there was no-one around who could understand me. It made me embarassed to be Western.
